That’s a sad photo, Draco. I don’t see any downside to letting drag0n have a go at him.
June 17, 2008 at 12:38 pm #714749*hugs* Poor thing! I hope things get better!
June 17, 2008 at 1:55 pm #714750I’m so sorry about your broken piece!!
Some tips about packing.
Windstones do not have to be double-boxed in order to survive shipping. It does help, and with some pieces it helps a lot (emperors) but it isn’t what saves a Windstone from being damaged. The most important factor in most cases where Windstones break in transit is either 1. They are packed too closely to the box edges and sometime during shipping the box is ‘crunched’, thus breakage, or… 2. The biggest cause of breaking is if the piece can move at all. Windstones, unlike some other breakables out there, are so heavy that they can literally break themselves to bits if they can move within their packaging at all, even if the packing job and materials are good. After pacing a piece, give the box a gentle test-shake. If you can feel the piece shift at all, it’s time to pack better.

June 17, 2008 at 6:18 pm #714752I can’t believe a FORUM member woudl send you something like this??
After all the talks we hvae had about packing and shipping mishaps
This is also one of the reasons I have tried to keep all the Windstone Original boxes I can.
I’m pretty sure I have most boxes. I do not think I got boxes for the PYO’s that Melody FORCED me to paint down at the factory
I’m pretty sure I have all the boxes for all the production pieces I have thoughJune 17, 2008 at 6:21 pm #714753DM, when do we get to see the PYOs that Melody had you paint? They can’t be as bad as you make ’em sound…

June 17, 2008 at 6:24 pm #714754Let her at it…I have so many to do right now, and that guy is just such a mess, he’d take me forever, and I just don’t have the time right now.
Though, if you would rather just hang on and get the Brown male I’ve got here in trade for a anthro commission, that works too.
Let us know.

I need to learn how to post pics. I also need to find the camera and cord??
I accicently deleted my Photobucket log on information that I got the last time I had my friend help me post on page 19 of the original show your Windstone CollectionJune 17, 2008 at 6:37 pm #714756Dragon Master wrote:I can’t believe a FORUM member woudl send you something like this??
Everyone makes mistakes DM, and things happen. Pieces can even arrive broke from Windstone themselves. There is no way to control all factors at play.

Don’t scare me by saying that, I’ve had three squished boxes and three good windstones (good windstones in squished boxes, I mean), I don’t want to be scared about whatever it is Colin’s getting me (I know it’s a winstone, that’s it!) for my birthday!
I’m going to go crazy on the shipping for whoever buys my griff!

I know there is no way to guarantee anything, I was saying shipping w/o proper bubble wrap and making sure there was no wiggle roomJune 17, 2008 at 9:29 pm #714759Well, my offer still stands if you want. Just let me know 😀 Thanks for confidence everyone. <3 <3 <3
Accidents happen. Once even I shipped a dragon that broke 😥 It was actually a PYO I did for nessie. My only break ever so far, but sometimes it happens and as long as you make good on it that’s really all you can ask I guess.

I’ve also had a box that Windstone mailed me that was crushed on one side. Both items were fine…. just minor scrapes in the paint, the inner boxes and a poad card wasn’t so lucky.
Things happen.
I’m so sorry Draco, that poor male looks crushed. I hope someone will be able to fix him.
June 17, 2008 at 10:33 pm #714761Yep, I agree. I have had boxes that look fine on the outside, double boxed, from the factory and it was still broken. Not everything is preventable, but wriggling is def a no go.
June 18, 2008 at 12:15 am #714762I’m sorry Dracomancer but hopefully dragOnfeathers with her fantastic offer can fix him for you. The pictures of the ones she has repaired look great. Nice job dragOnfeathers you do good work.
