I put the wrong year in the topic last time and can’t edit it! So here is again:
Let’s do another calendar!
If you would like to enter the contest to have your photo included in the 2023 Windstone calendar, here is what to do:1. Take some awesome photos of your Windstones.
2. 300 dpi is best, they need to be high resolution to print well.
3. email them to me reptangle@gmail.com…aaand here are some rules and suggestions:
It should be a horizontal ( landscape) image to fit the calendar format.
A maximum of 3 photos per entry. (so I don’t get overwhelmed with photos )
The deadline for entering is October 31 at midnight.I will choose 13 photos for the calendar.
The Windstones need to be well lit, but not overexposed, and in sharp focus.
No date stamps please, but If you do have a great photo that has a date stamp, I can remove it with photoshop.
I prefer some kind of narrative or holiday /seasonal theme.
Try to avoid distracting, ugly, or cluttered backgrounds unless it is part of the narrative.
PYOs are ok. If the painter isn’t you, I will need permission from the painter to use the PYO in the calendar.
Don’t include people or non-Windstone art unless it is your original art and you give us permission to use it in the calendar. (This is for copyright reasons)
Pets are ok to include as long as they are looking happy and healthy. Or evil. Cats can look evil.
Fuzzies are ok!
By entering you give Windstone Editions permission to modify them if necessary to fit the format or correct minor things that need fixing, and to use your image(s) in the yearly calendar we will sell on Zazzle.
I will include the winners’ names with the images. Let me know if you prefer your real name, Windstone forum name, or both.
One photo will be chosen for the cover. I’ll choose one that has room in the corner for the Windstone logo and year.Your prize for having your photo chosen is a free 2023 calendar!
