Does anyone know anything about the Bobcat sculpt? I did some extensive eBaying and Googling and could only come up with two photos… One was just a stock image from 1986.
This was the most recent one I could find – From a blog post in 2010.
Were any produced since then? Are they still in production or, if not, when were they stopped? Do they pop up often?
Sorry for so many questions! I couldn’t find much info (any) about these!

March 18, 2014 at 8:29 am #909920would love to see these guys again, I’ve really only seen them in the picture with the old animal line….I would love to have one on my shelves….
4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat
2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White
4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinMarch 18, 2014 at 12:18 pm #909922The bobcat sculpt was part of the old animal line (back before the days of Windstone dragons) and retired long ago. There was a small batch sold a few years ago when the factory moved, but those pieces were old, unpainted castings that had been packed away for years and found in the process of moving. So Melody painted those old castings and they sold on ebay.

March 18, 2014 at 1:51 pm #909927This page from an old catalog shows the original animal line (first posted by somebody else but I forget who – sorry):
This is the link to the Astral Castle site with information about the bobcat. It is a great resource for data on many Windstone production pieces:

I do not recall seeing a bobcat on ebay in the last three years but other old pieces have popped up including a pig, a cat (#201), and most recently a tiger cub in January. The cat sold for $102.50 and I think the pig was under $150. The tiger cub went for $192. So don’t give up hope of owning a bobcat!

March 19, 2014 at 5:05 am #910047Thanks everyone! I really love the looks of most of the older animals. Maybe there’s hope yet if I stay patient.
