Melody, you had said that while you were packing things up you had found several Wind Wizards that were painted beyond the limited edition of the Peacock and Green runs. Are you still thinking of repainting these and if so do you have any idea when? I was also wondering if there was going to be more of the prints sometime? I love the Sushi Cat postcard, but was hoping to get the real print sometime. Just hoping you’ll find some space on the to-do list you have, maybe on the 8th or 9th page? Thanks.

Yes ! the Wind wizards.. that was something I was going to try to paint while we are waiting for castings to dry.. now to find them. If I can find them I can paint them this week! What color would be good? I have had squeaks for ruby, but that might not work over the already painted color, it is finicky about under paint. Autumn leaf wind wizards might be nice! That dark plum color happens when the ruby is put over the emerald color.
February 15, 2009 at 8:55 pm #751926AL Wizards would be outstanding! If you were looking for less time consuming colors, Black would be good, or maybe Rainbow. But I think AL would get a squeak from LOTS of people, even the non wizard types.
February 15, 2009 at 8:57 pm #751927Can you not paint them white first or a different base color to cover the bottom color?
February 16, 2009 at 12:05 am #751928I would probably buy an AL Wind Wizard in about .017 seconds. That sounds outstanding!

I could put down a layer of metallic gold to paint them ruby. That works somewhat, though the ruby is never exactly the same as ruby that was painted on a white piece. I don’t like to paint stuff white. It makes things “gummy ” looking, because I need to use so much to cover a dark color. Tends to moosh out the details, but I guess just used on the robe of a wizard wouldn’t be too bad.

February 22, 2009 at 3:43 pm #751931Does anyone remember how many unpainted wind wizards there are?
