Hi guys! As I told ski, I injured my wrist (my left! I can still paint,) badly two days ago and it’s only getting worse. I borrowed my sister’s brace so I can heal. I suspect that it is fractured. It really hurts.
Regardless, I will still ‘be’ here just as much, but typing is a bear for me right now! So I will be around, but quieter than normal, lucky you! 😆

January 13, 2008 at 9:55 pm #656014Ah jeez, Nam. 🙁 I am really sorry to hear about your wrist. Is there any way you can get X-rays? I know the health care field is a mess when one doesn’t have insurance, but I don’t like your not knowing what to expect from the injury. Physical therapy might turn out being really helpful to you in terms of regaining use, and it’s hard to know what exercises are appropriate without knowing the injury. I wish I could be of some help! 🙁

No, we are kinda in the middle of nowhere. :/
We do know that if it is only a sprain or fracture, they’d just send me home with a brace (I have one now) and maybe pain meds.
At least I know it’s not broke! 🙂

hopefully it’s only a sprain….and it gets better quick…
January 13, 2008 at 10:13 pm #656017Ummm… isn’t fractured the same as broken?
Either way, immobilizing it is the way to go!

Mums a Radiographer, you know bone freak!
You could send me a picture and i can get her to look at it for you 😆January 13, 2008 at 11:14 pm #656019I hope your wrist feels better soon. Rest, immobilizing it and pain killers should help if it is just sprained – you might want to keep it elevated. And chocolate – chocolate ALWAYS helps! ok, not if you are trying to diet but any other time chocolate makes life better!
January 13, 2008 at 11:36 pm #656020Ouch! Take care, and get well soon! There’s nothing more irritating to an artist than a hand injury…even if it is the off hand. 🙁
