My ema pea old warrior does not have purple on him at all. He just has a dark blue where the purple should be. Also the ema pea male dragon I had did not have purple either. He had the same dark blue that my old warrior has. The only ema peas I have with purple on them are the IVEP’s.

although I do agree…I dont like the empea color that much without the purple….as an artist I’d be hurt with the way you said that.

Uuuhh ….
I stand corrected? 8)
So what you are saying Purpledoggy is that some (talking regular production pieces here) Emerald Peacocks have purple where some have none at all?
If that indeed is the case, I’m very glad that all three of the Emerald Peacock sculptures that I have acquired have purple in the color scheme. I really like them with it.
So umm Melody, which of the Emerald Peacock sculptures had the purple removed from the color scheme?
I ask because the Scratcher and Lap that I bought are new stock. The store had to order them from Windstone for me. As for the Old Warrior, which also has purple, I have no idea when he was made since I’m not the first owner of him.
I do realize that Melody probably doesn’t reread the threads once she’s responded to them, but now I’m real curious if only a certain Emerald Peacock sculptures had the purple removed from them. Especially since my Lap and Scratcher are from the current in stock items that the store has for sale right now.
Hmmm, maybe Ms. Melody is referring to any new batches of Emerald Peacock that they might do.
April 24, 2008 at 4:21 pm #691520The first ones had a darker purple in the crevices that was later taken out. I am not sure what all sculpts have the darker, but I know the mother, young, and male did. There is purple on all of them now, I think, but its not the dark shade that was there to begin with. 🙂
April 24, 2008 at 4:50 pm #691521I have a scratcher and fledgie that dont have a speck of purple on them…at all. the scratcher I actually really like because he has tons of the limey green color..which for some reason really improves it for me…but the fledgie…eh…blah..not so much. Lemme see if I have pics somewhere…..
April 24, 2008 at 7:21 pm #691522My OW that I got from Em doesn’t have any purple on him. Just the dark blue/indigo on his nose and flanks.
April 24, 2008 at 9:38 pm #691523Some of them seem to have more than others. I think it depends on who’s painting them.
April 25, 2008 at 4:49 am #691524I’ll be honest now that I have one of each version, that I like the current color scheme better. On the IVEP male that I have the bright purple really clashes with the lime green. On the feet it’s mixed in places and has turned an interesting brown color. His nose is bright purple to the point where it looked like he was sniffing purple paint. The current emerald peacock color scheme blends much better. I really like the way it looks on the lap dragon and old warrior.

That’s right. Dracomancer has a regular production Spectral with purple; my two regular production EmPeas have dark blue but no purple at all; my IVEP Riser of course has purple. It varies.
