Why did you take the purple away from the ema pea color? They just look so bland without it. I was lucky enough to get one of the IVEP Lap dragons but she just looks soooo much better then her regular production old warrior husband. I really thought I would love this color but without the purple to give them that little kick I just HATE them 😥 Can’t we get just a little purple love for the ema peas?

We thought the intense violet was over the top too bright! We do look at pieces under florescent lighting, which may pop the color up unnaturally, we should probably look at these under normal house lighting as well when we decide on color..The bright violet appeared to us to form areas of color that didn’t blend with the blue very smoothly.
However I like both. That is why we offered the intense ones on ebay.April 18, 2008 at 4:13 pm #691505You will have people on both sides of the fence- there are collectors that like the extra purple, and those that hate it. In the end you can’t make everyone happy. 😐

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmApril 18, 2008 at 4:41 pm #691507I’m not a huge fan of purple myself.. but I like the old peacock colors. However, I really like the emerald peacock colors too. I guess I’m not that picky. They’re all so beautifully done no matter what colors are chosen!
April 18, 2008 at 9:44 pm #691508I love purple…but honestly…not with with emerald peacock…
😀
April 18, 2008 at 11:06 pm #691509And look at that, a plethora of opinions just on this forum! I too prefer the purple color on the Emerald Peacock Dragons! It makes them more distinctive to me.
April 18, 2008 at 11:50 pm #691510And the purple is on my Lap and my Scratcher. The newer EmPeacock OW is the odd man out.
(Don’t know about any of the other EmPeacock molds)

April 19, 2008 at 12:05 am #691511I like both versions, though empea isn’t my favorite color.
April 19, 2008 at 6:33 am #691512Oh I just LOVE the intense violet on the Em Pea dragons! GB won one of the IVEP rising spectrals when she was at my house last summer, so I got to see one in person. I have a lap and a fledge in the regular color…and while they are lovely, the PURPLE (as opposed to the violet) is just awesome!
April 21, 2008 at 12:35 am #691513Here are my IVEPs along with a emp and old green fledgling. The purple doesn’t show up to well on the fledgling in the picture but does when you see the fledgling itself. Personally I like them all.
April 21, 2008 at 5:59 am #691514I love the EmPea color, with or without the purple, but I have to say the purple does give it the final “punch.” My OW looks like he’s missing some depth without the purple, especially when I compare him with my IVEP Riser.
But again, I like both. EmPea is a great color.April 24, 2008 at 3:16 am #691515I love the purple on them 😉
April 24, 2008 at 10:48 am #691516I just wanted to clarify, since it is sort of confusing to anyone that doesn’t have the actual sculptures.
The regular Emerald Peacocks do have purple on the sculptures, which is hard to see in any of the posted photos. The difference between the special release and the regular production is that the specials have the intense violet markings and the regulars have what(?) plain ole purple.
So for anyone who might have one sculpture in Emerald Peacock and is wondering what the other production pieces look like, they do have purple, just not the very intense deep violet color that everyone is referring to in this thread.
It was very confusing to me until I saw the regular production Emerald Peacock OW in person.
Personally, I dig the regular ole purple on the standard production pieces. The colors blend really nicely together.
I stick to a limit of 3 of my personal favorite sculptures to collect. I couldn’t imagine what a whole family of these together would look like.
Errr, actually, I couldn’t imagine what a whole family (any color) all together would look like. That’s a lot of dragons in one spot!
So to reiterate, the Emerald Peacock regular production sculptures do have purple on them, just not the intense violet purple.
There, clarification complete.
