π Hi Melody,
I don’t know if this was ever asked before or not.Why and what made you decide to put bird feathers on part of the back of most if not all dragons’ wings?

May 14, 2008 at 5:38 pm #702664That’s how I always drew wings… so I never thought of it any differently.
May 14, 2008 at 10:27 pm #702665The dragon in Eragon has feathers. =D At least, in the movie…e.e I haven’t read the book.

They’re not really feathers, though they appear that way. They are large flexible plate-like scales. π I used to have the official character sheet but I can’t find it now, wouldn’t you know it… >_>
I’ve drawn feathers on my dragons forever too… always thought they should have them. π

Oooh. =0 They really looked like feathers! XD
I think the Windstone dragon feathers are cool. =) I especially like the ones on the male, for some reason.

May 15, 2008 at 1:35 am #702669Ok, so maybe I’m blind.. but I don’t see the “bird feathers” you guys are referring to. Could someone post a picture so I’m less confused? And though the drawing is good.. (and it helps~) what about on the sculpts? π π
May 15, 2008 at 1:39 am #702670Just look on the backs of the wings by the top, you will see the feathers π
