Is there a specific pixel requirement for a photo to become one? I have a few shots I’d love to try as an Avatar. I have a wonderful program for doing this with, I just have no clue how to do it, yet. π

P.S. Muchos Gracias!

I have another siggy that I used, and I think purplecat did that one, but I know it was her picture in it! Purplecat does wonderful siggy’s as well!
July 10, 2008 at 8:12 pm #720824I do my own, but they are pretty basic.. I just used the pics off the website since my camera sucks, but I want my mother to send me some of her cool pics and then I will make a really nice one.
July 10, 2008 at 8:26 pm #720825I do my own… but Pegasi’s are awesome π
July 10, 2008 at 9:01 pm #720826How do I do it? I use photoshop and then windstones photos for the most part. I decide what size to do the signature (mostly 400 pixels wide by 100-150 pixels tall). Then I reduce the size of the windstone that will be featured, remove the background if needed, add text, then upload it. There’s no set limit for the signatures, but Jennifer did have some recommendations once upon a time and I do try to stick to them…just can’t remember them right now. π
There are set limits for avatars. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 8 KB. I’ve found GIFs are typically the way to go for those.

Thanks Pegasi1978, perfect instructions. π
The signature banner thing will have to wait.
Maybe Jen will pipe in with the signature recommendations by then.
