I ordered one with hazel eyes and an olivine stone. I have my ideas but it may change when I see it in person. Besides, I have a dragon pyo thats been sitting for over a year half painted and the swap is coming up so I might need to save the Keeper for the swap.

I believe when they first put them up, they had just “green” as the option, rather than “dark green” and “light green” so they had to ask those of us who ordered just plain green which kind we actually wanted, but apparently they caught the mistake after only a couple of orders.

Thanks SPark! 🙂 I’ve been peering out the window for the UPS truck all day . . . drat, he just went past without stopping, guess that means no PYO delivery today. Being patient isn’t easy! 😉

Me too bardwing! usualy it only takes a few days for you and eye to get our windstones from the factory. I wonder if the postal service is hoarding our dragons………>_>
January 16, 2008 at 1:23 am #655745Stuff from Windstone usually gets here in about 2 days, so I am hoping to see my dragon by Thursday.
I’m really keen to see this one in person. I’ve been thinking about how to paint him and I am trying to figure out how to have him look good with my browns, perhaps I’ll do a green/brown combination using the same color brown. Should be interesting to experiment.

Ah-HA! It’s a conspiracy, then! 😛 Seriously, I had been hoping to see them today . . . but I guess this isn’t all bad, because now I’ll have something to look forward to during the workweek. I am really looking forward to tackling the big dragon! I’ve been daydreaming color schemes to use on those wonderful complex scales. Of course, I’ve been toiling over the same griffin for what? two months now? three? so I don’t know who I think I’m foolin’; I’d be lucky to finish one in five months! 🙄 😆
January 17, 2008 at 3:05 am #655748Well, I got mine in today. It’s gonna be cool to paint.
January 17, 2008 at 7:03 pm #655749I got an email today saying my two Keepers, my Kirin Laundry scetch and my male griff are on their way. I can hardly contain my excitement!!!!!!!! I don’t know how long it takes to get out here from Cali though.

Some of that depends on how they are getting shipped. I’m in Georgia and if I have something sent USPS it is usually here within 2 days of being shipped, but if I have it sent UPS it takes a week.

That’s why I prefer USPS Priority Mail. I want my stuff FAST!!!
But, also because UPS has completely ruined a few of my packages in the past. I will never trust UPS with Windstones!!!
January 17, 2008 at 7:45 pm #655752I think Karen said it went UPS. I didn’t know there was a way to specify or that one was better than the other. I’m going to be crushed if something happens to my sketch and my griff. Both are irreplaceable.

Sun Dragon Koi #3January 17, 2008 at 7:56 pm #655753Not all UPS guys are as careless as mine are. Some people have better luck with UPS than any other carrier. I’m sure you’ll get them okay. 🙂

For the auction items I think the only option Windstone gives is UPS, but for items bought from the Windstone Online Store you can choose to have it sent USPS or UPS.
