I thought it would be neat to see other people’s favorite artists outside of Windstones. I don’t just mean painting but ANYTHING!
Here are three of my favorites in no particular order:
1) http://www.parrishrelics.com/ – Jen of Parrish Relics is an amazing jewelry artist. I am lucky enough to own one of her gorgeous Tudor roses and she is currently making me a ‘creature’ portrait necklace with my three pugs. Ever see the show ‘Ugly Betty’? Jen is respinsible for Betty’s iconic ‘B’ necklace that she always wears. Be sure to check out her Etsy link; great deals in there!
2) http://home.texoma.net/~bperkins/gallery.html – Amy/Amalia can pretty much do everything. I first met her through the SCA when I went to her house to get a custom gown pattern made. She used to mostly do costumes (fantastic costumes!) but now does so much more. She recently made our coronets (for our medieval reenactment group, the SCA) and a gorgeous elaborate pin for me as well as an amazing silk venetian gown for me earlier in the year. She makes shoes, furniture, sculptures & more.
3) http://www.etsy.com/shop/sihaya09 – Another friend of mine, Christina does some gorgeous jewelry work too. Much of it is very delicate and in lovely actual gemstones. I have several of her pieces and have had her do custom work for me in the past as well.
Ok, so you can see my favorites tend to be sparklie things I can wear. Heh. Here is a new link to an artist I just recently found:
http://doggiedrawings.net/ – I only just recently found her but I LOVE her work. I am dying to get pics of my three pugs done but I can’t decide if I want a pic with all three of them in it at once or seperate pics of each yet. LOL! Plus a portion of the cost goes to animal rescue; can’t go wrong with that!
So what are your favorites! Please share!
