I saw him. I wonder how much he’ll go for. Nice starting price. 😛

No one even bid against me….weird…not complaining but weird.
August 10, 2007 at 2:25 am #605925Considering Im the current keeper of everyone’s Wish List (those that posted it), the wht scratcher is on 95% of the list! I was blown away that no one bid against Keschete for that and she got it for the opening price. I thought for sure it would be a blood bath. Great for Keschete but you guys surprise me!
August 10, 2007 at 2:42 am #605926Congrats, keschete. The “starting price” of almost $200 probably scared off most folks.
August 10, 2007 at 3:01 am #605927But everyone HERE must have known it would have gotten up to that so like that seller, Id have done the same thing. Scaring off regular eBayers I can understand tho
August 10, 2007 at 3:37 pm #605928The white scratcher doesn’t seem to do well on Ebay. Right now, not many people have money. I purchased mine during the holidays last year, and expected it to go to at least $250, but got it for $180 or so. (There were a lot of rare/retired pieces being offered at the time.)
Well congrats Keschete! I know it may seem weird, but it was probably just meant to be! 😀
PT – A lot of people may want the white scratcher, but maybe not all are willing to pay a higher price for it. Just a thought. 😕
August 10, 2007 at 3:43 pm #605929If Cai hadn’t gotten hers from Cheryl, we would have been bidding. But, she has hers and cuddles it daily. 😉

My art: featherdust.comAugust 10, 2007 at 3:58 pm #605930I think $200 is about the top of the pricing for a white scratcher.
August 10, 2007 at 4:56 pm #605931I think a big part of what determines the price is if they ship worldwide. I did a study on Windstones and found that pieces sell for about 30% more when the seller is willing to ship worldwide. It is bad enough when you want a rare piece, worse when the sellers won’t ship to you and so when the piece shows up with worldwide shipping – international buyers bid higher to get it.
When I was looking for my scratcher, there were a few on ebay, but none would ship to me in Canada. I was willing to outbid the high bidder, but they just won’t ship. 🙁

What’s weird is that the listing says there were two bids, but both of them were you, at different times, but with the exact same amount.
August 10, 2007 at 6:16 pm #605933That just means she upped her own bid 😀
August 11, 2007 at 3:06 am #605934I initially just bid $200 and then I started to worry someone would snipe me and bid $300 because that was the max I was willing to go to…and it turns out I didn’t need to be worried….
But the last flap cat someone outbid me by 5 bucks….at the last minute…..
Just to let everyone know, the seller actually went to SParks website and read the packing tutorial…and agreed to ship as I asked….the seller seemed very accomodating!

Yay! Glad to hear this. I hope the piece gets to you in one piece.
