It’s nothing like peacock. Most of the dragon is black. If it is similar to anything it would be kind of a cross with the Black Em Pea and the Violet Em Pea, though I put some blue in the black part of the body as well. I didn’t get “approved” to sell it since I didn’t think there was a need to since it’s not like any other Windstones and was approved for viewing in the gallery when I first painted it. I did ask about it in another thread in the PYO section about a week ago and nobody told me otherwise.
Aw, ok. I guess it just reminded me of the peacock. I hope you get a good price for it because it is a nice dragon. 😀

haha, both of my dogs do the spinning thing before they go to the bathroom. It is preety funny to watch.
LOL Ski! My dogs do the same thing. My sisters are the WORST! They run around and around in circles and then stare for a minute, then if you look at them they all start running in circles again. Sometimes I pretend I am going to get up, then they start running like crazy, but then I sit back down and they just stare at me and cock their heads.

I counted one time my pug spinning 22 times before she finally took a poop. When it’s winter time and freezing out this is what irks me the most!
The golden dragon auction I was kinda surprised about myself, but I guess it just ended at a time when everybody was away from their computers. Stuff like that happens. I’m only dissappointed because of my hourly rate on that but sometimes it happens and you have to absorb it, as long as it doesn’t keep happening. On the plus side I did use that money to buy two more dragon PYOs! Since I do art for a living I just take certain things as a loss but try to put it right back into the art where I can. In the end I think it works out.
I will be really interested in doing the larger dragons. I know it’s going to take days of work to complete one but I wonder what their final prices will go for. I will have to be sure to check my hours on those!
And look at the new stuff on ebay now! Most of the PYOs are going for decent prices! The paint jobs are heavily desired I think, so I’m sure they will keep going up!
I will laugh at what the Valentine pink wolf will go for. I’ve already accepted that as a business loss since I made the decision to use pink paint; I’ll be shocked if it goes above $60. But you should see it with the interferance violet on…sweet!
Good luck with it. I really think she is cute. If I didnt already have both a pink wolf and a PYO from you, I would get it, but I dont want to get too many PYOs.
I can’t decide who to get PYOS from either, hense why I finally settled on one figure and from everybody I can manage to get one from, lol! Maybe I should request a pink one from you Ski!

Using the photo from the SK auction and doing an exact copy…that was the problem.
I plan to keep doing repaints when I get old broken pieces…and as long as I don’t claim they are windstone, nor that I made the sculpture itself, it should be fine. I sold my last repaints with no problem.
Broken things need some new life! 🙂Repaints are legally okay- Windstone only discourages them just to create less confusion and legal paperwork down the line. I’m not implying that repaints in of themselves are against any rules- just having the sculpture in colors other than production makes it harder for them to track and persue ‘fakes’. Again, repaints are legal, just discouraged because it makes it harder to determine if a piece is a ripoff or if it’s a genuine Windstone, repainted. This is more of an issue when the repaint makes it out into ‘public’; that is eBay or some marketplace where someone might question it’s authenticity. It might be helpful to mark it on the bottom with “Original Windstone repainted by “Your Name” to help prevent this a bit in the future. 🙂

It has nothing to do with us painting these things. 🙂As for the gold trim thing, the copyright notice on the front page was news to me too (and yes it seems silly to me too) which leads me to believe that there was some sort of mis-wording or something. Perhaps John meant ‘in conjunction with a Windstone like color scheme” or something- I’m not sure. Myself or Melody or John will post as soon as I get answers, probably when they get back from OR.
(For the record, Dragonfeathers, I think you’re totally okay with this guy, but I’m not in charge of any of Windstone’s legalaties so that’s only ‘my’ opinion and doesn’t represent Windstone’s opinion on the matter.)

Absolutely 🙂 I don’t think anyone here would intentionally do anything wrong anyhow, you are all great people! 😀 It’s a beautiful dragon. I almost put a bid in myself. 🙂
