hey cats do not know what they are doing. Thjankfully I got all my Windstones behind glass before I had to worry about that. They have broken other things though and you just have to realize it’s only stuff, a cat is a life saved

Aw, that’s a waste on a cat. I’d sic Beretta on ’em. (My dog, not a gun. I don’t own a Beretta gun yet.)

You could make a compromise of it and let somebody else save the cat’s life. 😛

The operative word here is ‘yet’. 😆

I agree with DM on this one. Cats are living. Windstones is stuff. Pretty stuff, mind you, but not a living creature. I try to keep my Windstones in the cat-free zones of my house (my office and upstairs with the geek shelving), but one or two are in the living room (the Midas Emperor and Wizard’s Retreat CL). I don’t want to jinx myself, but so far, so good.

Btw, glad you’re back, Lady Brooklyn. I was thinking about you the other day, wondering where you were.

I doubt Snap was serious. You know what a big tease he is. 😆

glad you are back. i feel bad about the breakage.

my parents had a 20+ pound black cat and it used to jump onto the buffet they had covered with antiques. one day it got scared and knocked over a really old (100+ years) and really heavy glass punch bowl. they never told my grandmother, whose it was orignally. 😥

like Emerald said you have to cat proof your house if you have cats. I have a procelin set of dragons bough tback in 1989 and they have been on the same place on my entertainment center fo years with my cats but one day one was on the floor wiht the tail broken off. I was VERY upset since I have had the set so long but I just had to move them and could only blame myself for leaving them there since I knew it could happen one day

What the hell is it with cats and breaking Windstones?

I don’t care how much I would love a pet… breaks something of mine, it gets beat or thrown outside, or given away… or all three.

Unfortunately… cats like high places… my cats in particular like windows too… the way my new mantel is… it’s flanked by two windows… about 4 ft from the ground… IDEAL places for cats to try to get to…

Sadly… with the Windstones up there… the smaller, more bumpable/moveable ones… are the ones that suffered… Though I’m still trying to work out how the FATHER dragon got knocked off!

But regardless… I have had cats FAR longer than Windstones… and I love them to much to beat them within an inch of their lives (much as I threaten and would LIKE to…) so… yeah… they stay… and I repair my Windstones…

Thankfully I’m learning to be a good restoration artist too… but some cases…

I’m just not that good! 😯

Oh, the poor dragons! But they’re definitely repairable. 🙂 Don’t chuck ’em. People like me tend to like to fix them in our spare time. Not that I have much of that lately… 😆

Yeah… it was the Fledgeling that killed me.. Rocky nearly lost his life over that…

That piece had been the ONLY piece that hadn’t been chipped or broken in some way… the only surviving piece from my collecting days 10 yrs ago… AND she was my fav… I loved the color… loved the sculpture… ::sobs:: And she was a birthday present to represent my birthstone (emerald)

                  But… Rocky broke her…

I really need to send her off to Whippet… 🙁

I am so glad I have dogs. They don’t get anywhere near my Windstone. 🙂

I should mention here that cats will also EAT Windstones. Honest!
We have had several dragons returned to us that have had their noses chewed right off! It doen’t hurt the cats any, but that kind of damage is way harder to repair that a simple break. Cats are so weird.
