I barely ever have – or make – time to actually go shopping. I buy most of my stuff off the internet. But for real shopping, I love Polo, the big motorcycle store in Horgen. I like pet stores and garden stores, love bookstores and Yankee Candle or Bed & Bath type things, and can spend a long time in any hunting and sports goods store with knives and guns, of course. πŸ˜›
I abhor clothes shopping, though, unless it’s for specific gear.

Ok, I know some of you dont like shopping but you have got to buy at least two pairs of shoes a year. Thats just for your health, people!!! Save your poor feet!! Shoes are not meant to be worn till they are in tatters. The soles wear out… feet hurt? When is the last time you bought new shoes?? Your poor feet need some lovin and nothing says “I Love you, Feet” like new shoes. Go shopping. Please. Its good for your sole.

πŸ˜† Okay, I admit, I did buy new shoes two weeks ago. they’re dressy, and most of the time I still wear my motorcycle boots. πŸ˜›

Geez, I see new ones that excite me almost every day πŸ˜† Luckily I dont buy them all. I like to have a pair that will go with several outfits and that cuts down on the pairs, but I still buy shoes often.

Lol…I find maybe one or two pair a year that make my heart pitty pat…lol, My weakness is art supply stores, and the local Petsmart..they have rescue animals there, and all those sad eyes kill me. I also love bookstores..used or new..I love books. πŸ™‚

I love crafts stores; generally Michael’s is a good bet, but I loved the tiny crafts/home improvement store that used to be in Ridgecrest, before Home Depot pushed them out. πŸ™ (It wasn’t really HD’s fault; the town was just too small to support two home-improvement stores, and the crafts market wasn’t big enough to support them alone.) But used-book stores are FAVORITE! πŸ˜€ Old textbooks are so much fun; they provide tons of ideas for writing. And hardware stores are fun too, especially if they’ve got an eclectic mix of things and trays and trays of washers, bolts, etc. I found copper rodding to dowse water in the backyard at an Ace in the middle of nowhere; had a great time that afternoon finding the irrigation lines. πŸ˜›

Clothes shopping . . . well, I have to be really motivated to find a certain category of clothing, like pants, and then lucky enough to find something that I like. I then buy four or five pairs. I’m not good at assembling an outfit by browsing the racks (my sister, on the other hand, can walk into a thrift store and come out with six new outfits assembled from print handkerchieves and old men’s sweaters πŸ™„ ). I still wear clothing from college (ten years out) and high school (let’s not say). My mother despairs of my ever developing a fashion sense! πŸ˜† I tell her I just have to be her “difficult” child.

Ugh…I HATE clothes shopping, it’s only done in dire necessity. πŸ˜›
