What? I moved again? Pah.
The view from my balcony.
Anyone from Edmonton will recognize the area immediately.Bonus points for:
– Name the building I’m looking at
– Name the building I’m in
– My floor number
– How my building relates to the building in the picture (you’ll never guess)April 30, 2009 at 9:15 pm #498138AnonymousApril 30, 2009 at 9:19 pm #763128Wish I knew just one answer…I guess the taller building is the answer to the last question. 😀
April 30, 2009 at 9:29 pm #763129Too bad I’ve never been to Edmonton.
The building is the Legislative building…… 😉
April 30, 2009 at 9:30 pm #763130Don’t know the answers but I have to say…Very Nice!! 😀
So I take it things didn’t work out with the mold and such at the other condo??

No, that’s Park Plaza, to the East. I’m on the West. Your picture is looking at the Legislature from the back (south), mine is from the Northwest (Front).
April 30, 2009 at 11:08 pm #763135AnonymousHere’s another view, from the roof of the Legislature.
The building dead center of the picture is Tami’s office. Our place is just out of view on the left. It is the newest and tallest building in the area.
April 30, 2009 at 11:10 pm #763136AnonymousA shot from the South side of the river, with the High Level bridge. You can’t see the bridge from my balcony, which sucks, because I’m in the middle of the building. So, you can’t see the building from this shot either LOL
April 30, 2009 at 11:38 pm #763137Love that bridge!! I’d be photographing it all the time… Maybe trying to sketch it, too. A good excuse to go for a walk! 🙂
May 1, 2009 at 12:15 am #763138Sounds like you moved farther from your job? The other place was so close…. I hope you were able to sell it for more than you paid for it. 😕
Anyway, the view from the new place (not the bridge since you can’t see it) must be fantastic!! 🙂
May 1, 2009 at 2:37 am #763139I agree! The view is fantastic! I’d have my camera out every night!

Hahahahahha, in this economy? Good one. I gave it to my brother for the rest of the mortgage. I figure I lost about $22K, but the timing was good, it all happened suddenly in one week. It gave me the opportunity to get away from the place (which still gives me allergy hell), and he didn’t have to come up with a $10K down payment to get into a property. So it was win-win mostly. The mold was tracked down to the old fridge which is long gone, but when winter started to thaw, my head exploded again, so we had to get out.
The ironic part is, he sleeps better there than where he was, so… no brainer. Now him and his cuddlywuddy girlfriend can move out together. Everyone’s happy.
Most of my junk is still at his place, slowly moving it over.
Yeah, I am farther away, but, there is a … freeway … if you can call it that, that allows me to skip over the extra distance. It’s kinda hard to describe. If you look at Google maps it’s Groat Road. It’s this wierd little road that twists left-right-left-right-left-right as it comes up from the river towards the North. It goes right past the old place and is pretty much a direct route to work, I don’t hit traffic until I get right near where I used to live.
So at night, if there’s a problem, I can get there pretty much as fast as I used to, within 5-7 minutes. Instead of being 2 miles away I’m like .. 3 1/2 miles away.
The move was more for Tami than me. I mean, for me, I had to get away from what was making me sick, but here there is in suite laundry, a much larger kitchen, huge closets, and she works directly across the street, so no more bus. She’s thrilled, I think she broke the washer the first day we were here.
The view, later on I plan on having a webcam outside. Directly below my balcony is the train track that the Edmonton Radial Railway uses from May to October to run their Japanese restored electric trains on, that run on the very top of the High Level bridge. So that will be neat to see. You can see the power line they use on the picture up in the other post.
