No, the nurse gives them to me. My friend had to do her own for awhile. I don’t know how she did it. I think that would have been horrible.
My doctor gave me shots once and almost gave me way too much. I’m glad he realised before he gave it to me. Then there was the vet that gave me the shots…. ouch! She pulled up the skin and plunged the needle in…. lets just say huge bruises left behind. Now I feel sorry for the cats and dogs that have shots given to them like that. 😆
Now whenever the nurse goes away its a scramble to get the shots just before she leaves and just after she gets back. 😆
February 13, 2008 at 11:40 pm #660510It was horrible when I had to give myself the shots!! I think I’d rather do that than have your vet give them to me!!! 😆
February 15, 2008 at 11:02 pm #660511😀 Yay! My hours are up next week. I might be able to squeeze another day out of them. I need to ask first though. Now, I really hope this isn’t just a temporary thing…..
February 16, 2008 at 1:07 am #660512Congrats!!! I hope you’re on a upward trend now!!! 🙂
February 17, 2008 at 6:31 pm #660513I’m cursed! I finally get more hours, and I injure myself!
I was leaving for work this morning. I knew it was raining, and that it was probably slippery. There was just the thinnest sheet of ice outside my door…. I slipped, my knee “popped”, ouch, tried to get up slipped again. I don’t have a cell phone otherwise I would have just called for an ambulance. I hopped up three flights of stairs back up to my appartment got the door open and Romeo dashed out. I tried to turn to catch him, and (snap) there goes the knee again.
I called my parents, called work, went to the hospital. They looked at my knee, determined that it wasn’t broken (I didn’t think so), gave me a prescription. Told me to take it easy and go to my doctor in a few days. It’s just a bit painfull. I’m now over at my parents, I stopped by my appartment while the prescription was being filled. The cats are fed, watered, and petted. Poor guys, I scared Danny really baddly. 🙁
So, now I’ve lost todays pay, and tomorrows. (Monday is a holiday) I just hope I can work on Wednesday.
February 17, 2008 at 6:45 pm #660514I’m sorry to hear that….I hope your knee gets better quickly and your luck changes, too.

February 18, 2008 at 1:27 am #660520oh my goodness!! Sounds very painful. Get lots of rest and try to stay off the knee for the time being. I hope it gets better. *sends virtual pain killers*

February 29, 2008 at 5:46 pm #660521Well, surprise. I didn’t lose Sunday and Mondays pay! I’m confused, but, I won’t complain.
It turns out that I did tear one of the tendons in my knee. I’m hobbling around with a cane, but, I’m getting better. My poor cats though, I’ve only been able to get over to my appartment every other day. Sigh. At first they ignored me and were stand offish but, now they come running and crying when I go over. They don’t know what to make of the cane. But, they are getting used to it.
I have to go over today and take care of them. Write a cheque for the land lord and so on. My sister wants to tote me around the city today. I hope it doesn’t mean alot of walking.
Then tonight we are going out to Bennys for my Birthday dinner.
So, hopefully this is the end of the bad luck I’ve had this month. My hours have picked up, my knee is slowly healing, and my land lord is still being an ass but, at least he let me off of paying the additional amount till March. 🙄
I want to just go home (to my appartment) and stay there. I love my parents don’t get me wrong but, I’m an adult and I really want to go back to being one. I’ve never liked being babied….. But, my Mom brings up a good point. There are three flights of stairs to get to my appartment. I can takle them, but, after work when I’m already really sore? They might be too much for me right now.
February 29, 2008 at 7:11 pm #660522I’m glad things are getting better. I hope you heal VERY quickly.
March 1, 2008 at 2:19 pm #660523I hope things continue to improve, Romeo. I’m thinking good thoughts for you!!! 🙂
