Aww, everyone makes mistakes and everyone does things they might later regret a bit. Trick is to just laugh and shrug it off and learn not to do something similar in the future. Trust me, the stories I could tell just of myself… 😆
If you find yourself entering a botched bid later, there are ways to retract them:
May 20, 2008 at 2:43 am #704289yup! we have ALL overpaid on items at one point or another. it does happen, but long as you get your goodies safe n sound and you are happy with them. i paid quite a bit for my unicorn gargoyle back in the day, but i LOVE him and so glad that i did finally get him. 🙂
May 20, 2008 at 2:47 am #704290May 20, 2008 at 2:56 am #704291I’ve paid a lot for MLPs in the past too, when I was on that kick. I sold most of them since… but still have my nice Applejack and some Glow n’ Show with a doves on it. They were my nicest ones, and I loved playing with them when I was little. Which pony was your most expensive PDC?
May 20, 2008 at 3:00 am #704292Twilight, So Soft Pegasus. $62. I got her in mint, and I mean mint, condition. She still had pink hair and no wear! The seller was selling all the SS ponies from that year and they were all in similar condition and all went for over $40. Second highest was Mimic, Twinkle-Eyed Unicorn. $56. Still have both, too! 😀 Travistie, you have Bright Glow. I had thought about getting her. I have Star Glow from that set.
May 20, 2008 at 3:03 am #704293Oh goodness, I have some MLPs stored in my closet that I’m almost embarrassed to look at. There’s just something about re-visiting an old childhood collection that made you ecstatic to visit the toy store though… didn’t make me a very practical person with my newfound independence and money. 😆
And $56 for Mimic is an insanely good deal. I’ve seen her run upwards of $200 in mint condition. She’s a modestly rare, but very sought after Twinkle Eye.

Sometimes I just mess up, not the first time. I’m still really new at this and my messups are not usually this public. They do cost me a lot of money that I will probably not ever make back. I’m still learning what most of you seem to know already. So I keep trying and it keeps costing me, but I really love my dragons and I love being on this forum and I’m sorry if I seem stupid and foolish, sometimes I am. I don’t understand a lot of things about this place, but I’m proud that I have learned as much as I have. So.
We have all overpaid on Windstones in the past. I paid $350 for my black male unicorn. I will not be able to get that for him if I sold him right now. I bought the brown young for over $150 and sold him later for like, $50. We all do that when we first start collecting. You did get the darker pink, which is nice. I wish I had one. 😉

Ah yes, Bright Glow. For some reason… I totally blanked on her name when I was typing before. I love those little stars and hearts all over those Glow n’ Show ponies. Really cool looking to me.I like those So Soft ones. I had one when I was little. I think it was Buttons. She was light purple with blue curly hair. I always wanted a So Soft Posey though. I remember one of my friends from when I was little had one, and she would not trade her for anything I had.
Just curious… was dot100dogs the seller of all those So Soft ponies you were speaking of?
May 20, 2008 at 3:13 am #704297May 20, 2008 at 3:16 am #704298I purchased quite a few from her, when I was collecting at the time. She put all those curls in their hair, but I always asked her to straighten them. I just liked their hair better straight! 😆
May 20, 2008 at 3:19 am #704299May 20, 2008 at 3:23 am #704300See, I was always afraid I’d mess up the hair real bad if I tried to straighten it out myself. My Applejack has curls though, but I actually like her with them. I’m all picky! 😆

Well youre lucky to have a Mimic! I dont remember that I OVER paid for any of my ponies…I got a set of 6 mint Greeks for 300 (that took a LONG time to pay off when I was getting onlz 5.50 dollars per hour lol ) Now that I think about it, I got an adult Stockings, TOTALLY mint, with her original letter for 76 I think 🙂 or 125 for a MOC Barnacle (my favorite brother pony hehe YAR!) I still have all of mine from my childhood and a literal room full at home.
Windstones-cant remember that ive over paid…unless you count the brown OW Im paying off for 490. Otherwise, if I did, it must have been horrible and my brain blocked it out LOL
