Aha!

Yes, I’d say with 99.9% certainty that this fellow is a knock-off.
1. No felt pad or stamp;
2. No glass eyes;
3. Sterotypical ‘bulging’ effect from the original being re-cast and molded;
4. Space under wings that is usually ‘open’ is filled in;
5. Loss of some of the finer details due to being re-cast.

The seller, to their credit, is not trying to pass it off as a Windstone and I am pretty sure that they didn’t make this guy… they probably bought it somewhere without knowing what it was. They also mention that it’s a replica. We can let John know but as this is probably just a collector (and not someone actually ripping Windstone off) he may let it go.
