I saw it the first time too. It’s the same seller. I contacted them at one point because they listed their wizard twice. They said thanks and pulled on of the auctions. I agree that maybe it’s newbie seller mistakes as to why it ended the first time and was relisted.
Yea, I asked if they would follow some “special instructions” for packaging and also why it was pulled. He said it was “accidently” deleted. Which I don’t know how you really could because it’s kind of a process to pull an auction, but everyone has to begin somewhere I guess. Maybe he’s just a newbie like you said. I don’t think I’ll end up bidding though. I’d rather be safe then sorry.
Besides, I’m a bit tempted to bid on Water’s Oriental Sun Dragon paint job. I’m trying to scrape some money together to bid on that now, hehe.

Yea, I was waiting for a comment on that. Things are always tight while you don’t have a “legit” job. Melody and Karen don’t seem to be angry about it and plenty of people have been doing it, so one auction here in there might become a habit for me at this point in time until I can get a decent paying job. The cost of living is so high here and I can’t go back down on the ladder and start over again so I haven’t been taking any job offers that are paying me less then what I was making before I was laid off. Loosing my job screwed up the whole morgage thing too and if I make less money I’m not going to qualify for the amount to buy a house. It’s a crappy situation, but I don’t like to complain because it’s mainly my own fault for not getting on the horse sooner.
As far as my rent goes, I already slapped that money in my mom’s face when I sold the griffin chick! haha! It was great! Though that same night she just went to the casino with it and won $1,200 which was a slap in the face. *grumble*
I have to get my bridesmaid dress alterations done (on the most hideous teal dress you’ve ever seen!) & some shoes to dye to match it for my brother’s wedding next month. Also, I have a bachelorette party to pitch in for. By the time I’m done paying that I’ll have to pay rent again! BLAH! Where does the time go? LOL!

You know… I didnt realize that my post could have been taken wrong till after I saw this. You dont have to defend yourself. I just went to check my dragon auction and the new listings and I saw the curlie. The only problem I have is that before, you said you only did it to pay rent, you were hard up, etc… now, above, you are talking about buying Waters dragon for $225. Also, you were the COMPLETE opposite when this topic first came up. You even admitted to sabotaging others auctions by contacting bidders and telling them where to buy so they didnt get fleeced. Now, you are not even giving them a chance!! Its not like you are starting the auctions at $.99. No, you are selling them for OVER DOUBLE what you paid!!! Yes, I think its wrong… esp since you started out on the other side of the fence. One of our own forum members just got robbed on a curlie the same way. To each their own, I guess. I suppose we all can start doing it. I know is sure is hard to watch people sell the same things I have for lots more money, and then just buy more later. It has crossed my mind to. Oh well.

Okay, wow you totally took that the wrong way. Though I’d LIKE to bid on Water’s auction I’m not because I DON’T have the money. Just saying I’m “trying to scrape money together” is my way of saying, “I wonder if I have room on my credit card” In the end, just because I want to get something, my better judgement in the end will say “no, you can’t do that right now, don’t click that buy it now button because though your using plastic money and it’s like your getting it for nothing at the moment, it will get back to you in the end”
I don’t like to whine and complain about my situations, but yes, you do make me feel like I have to defend myself. Should I come on here and say since I lost my job I’ve jacked my credit card up from $700 dollars to almost $7,000 on windstones? It’s my own fault for being a compulsive spender so I don’t bitch about it. Or I try not to anyway, though it weighs heavily on my mind. I honestly feel bad talking about looking for houses, but I don’t say anything unless someone asks. I never bring it up myself in fear of being accused of “stealing a topic”
When this overpriced auction stuff started, I did contact a few people and sent them to the direct sales page, but it didn’t matter. There was always someone who was willing to pay what “insert ebay/forum member name here” were asking. So I had that “if you can’t beat ’em join ’em attitude” I admit. There are people who obviously have moeny to burn because the curlies have been flying off of ebay. There was a BIN for the same price as me for a russet last week so yea, I listed it. Why am I the only one catching crap about it? There is a griffin chick right now also for 199 BIN and Nobody is commenting about that either. Just cause I’m on the fourm it’s bad apparently. I know it’s not honerable or anything, but I’m not asking you to buy it am I?
So yea, I don’t know what I said before that made you snap on me, but I was just explaining myself before I get a barrage of PMs from everyone. I didn’t say anything rude to you. I don’t know why you just left that post like that, but you could have easily sent me a PM if you felt I did something that deserved that kind of responce.

And please remember that repaints are discouraged. I totally understand wanting to repaint a damaged piece, or even a repaint for yourself. But selling repaint commissions of undamaged mint Windstones, even though it is not illegal, is starting to get into the toe-stepping area. Just a thought.

The other russet curlie up there right now is mine, I’ll happily come out of the closet and admit to doing the same thing, more or less. Some of us don’t have regular jobs. Some of us can’t count on a paycheck. Some of us worry about paying the rent every month. You do what you have to do.
If anybody has a problem with it, well… that’s their problem, isn’t it? They’re free to PM me about it and gripe at me if they like. We all know some people hate it. We also should all know by now that some people don’t see anything wrong with it. I vote YET AGAIN that this topic be CLOSED and not mentioned, because here we go with the same old argument. Again.

I’ll once again state that our standing is “All’s fair in love and war- or love and eBay”. We all love Windstones, and eBay has always been a free for all, so unless someone is scamming you, all’s fair! If you do have a problem with the actions of another member here, it’s rarely a good idea to call them on it in a public forum. Please take it to a PM or email. 🙂 And if someone is scamming you, that’s something to take up with eBay, or Paypal, or whatever parties are involved! 😉

I just wanted to say thankyou to SPark and Nam, but I’m still taking a rest from the forum for a few days. SPark, like you, I don’t have regular job, for the past 8 months or so I’ve been living off comissions and selling some of my own personal items on ebay as I slowly pack up my house for the inevidable move. I even did a fursuit head for someone 😀
When things are tight you do what you have to do, that’s exactly right. I just feel as all the negativity of everything is being pushed onto me so I had a bit of a snapping episode. I apologize to everyone, but I can’t just sit by and take it forever either, so thankyou both for stepping in at my defense, or at the very least to just squash it.Oh and Nam, don’t worry =) even if I did a repaint, (which I doubt I’ll ever even get around to, but even if I did) it would undoubtedly be for myself and I’d never do it on a mint piece either. That would be a waste.
