That’s fantastic news!!! When will you know if he won?? 😀

The winners will be announced at the Origins Convention at the end of June. I don’t know if winning is realistic at this point, but the nomination could mean we may sell the licensing. We have a logo for the nomination on our website now. 😀

Also, I’ve had a paper proposal accepted for presentation at the MMLA (Midwest Modern Language Association) Convention in November. It’s a huge college teaching organization sponsoring it, so it looks good to present at their conference. I haven’t written it yet, so I have some research and writing to do. It’s going to be on “Gulliver’s Travels.”

You’ll have to let us know what your topic is for Gulliver’s Travels. You can read a lot into that book if you try. 🙂

The proposed title is “The Exotic and Otherness in Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels.” It will be something about how Swift used the idea of exotic races to show the fallibility of the human race (especially the British, since they were the main target in most of his writings).

I bet you can write a lot about that. Years ago in school we had to analyze Gulliver’s Travels, as we read it. You could come up with all kinds of ideas without even trying that hard. I bet your paper will be great. 🙂

Congrats Emerald. I am happy for you. I am liked having my own little spot. It seemed like it went by so quickly.

It did go by fast. Jen is trying to change it once a month. That was a fast month!!! 😯 (I double checked and it was a whole month!!)

Yay, emerald! You finally got your own subforum!
And congrats to your hubby, too. Best of luck.

                        Thanks, GB.

Wow! No more questions. That seems weird.

I’m going to a convention over Memorial weekend. It’s called WisCon. There’s a link to it on the Contact Us page of my website, if you want more info.
