For my own curiosity (and anyone else wondering) is the Diablo I a OOAK or would you be willing to recreate him? (I like him better too, personally)

Geez drag0nfeathers you sure have been busy. Everything is soo wonderful especially Shimmering Embers and Shimmering Sea. I will have to save up money to commission one from you someday. Diablo 1 is just wicked!! The colors are so well blended together and just pop so well. Diablo 2 looks a little angry. He’s just ready to burst into flames. Oh and congratulations on getting your ultimate Windstone wish. Keep up the totally awesome work!

QUESTION/ADVICE

Okay, so I have an idea for a Keeper I want to do.

Going to do a Naruto/Kyuubi 4 tail version paint scheme. I already have the eyes and an idea of what I am going to do for the face.

My question is…. should I try and hand paint this texture (knowing how much I suck at textures and markings) or should I try a red and black marble??? (if you remember when I did the marbled dragons and kirins?)

I think a red and black marbling would work quite well for the coloring.

If you mix the right red-orange shades and black, I’d go for the marbling. You can always touch up any spots afterward if you get a huge spot of one color. Maybe put down a black base and then apply the marbling on top?

I agree with the marbling idea – I’ve seen your marbling work and it’s marvelous!! If you’re unsure that you’d be able to get the right texture by hand painting it, play it safe with the marbling. Also I think it would give your piece a real “drag0nfeathers” feel to it if you know what I mean. The tail pattern looks like it’s pretty random marks of red and black, and I think marbling would do an excellent job of that pattern’s general feel.
