The griffin was a commission so he won’t be for sale. I am painted 2 more in the same style for other people as well, although, one has some aqua and the other is a bit more wild 🙂

(cause I hate base coating things black, LOL! Flashbacks of painting black base coats of millions of ceramics back in the day for my mother) So as usual I was thinking of adding some obnoxious stripes of SOMETHING cause you know I can’t ever keep anything simple, but I jumped on the magic paint band wagon and I love the end result. This is the first PYO I think I’m going to keep for myself I have done for a long time now.
So what do you guys think? Should I make more in this style? I’m calling this one Shimmering Embers. I already started a second one in green, blue, purple and gold I’ll probably be calling Shimmering Sea or something like that. I’va also got another griffin on the way as well.

You know, I thought that very same thing when I finished him and was afraid you would think I was trying to copy you 🙄 To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I shoudl post pictures of him. I actually got the idea from my Nova repaint I got from purplecat back in the day. Then when I finished him, I thought it was too close to Violet Flame. Gah! I love purple and orange together. I started him weeks ago, but stopped because I was trying to think if I wanted to add stripes to him or leave him as is and then I saw yours and was inspired to finally finish him. All I did was add the black accents to the scales, but the rainbow glitter paint worked really good for a final touch.
I got the rainbow spray from Auto Zone. It was only 12 bucks and worked AWESOME!

I was going to say “wow, everyone has the magic paint now” but then I read you got it at autozone. So do you see it all the time, in any light? Is it that stuff that is suppose to keep you safe from the radar cameras? (but doesn’t Lol) I looked into that stuff before paying the big bucks for the “magic” stuff.
Ok, if you weren’t keeping him, I’d buy it from you (or I’d miss buying it, because I seem to usually miss all these things). He’s beautiful!
