Torturing your son lol! 😡
December 14, 2009 at 5:02 am #795211Shopping with my mother used to be suuuuuuch toooooorture too. Now though, I love it! love to shop! She just needed to wait for me to get out of my “tom boy” phase 🙂
December 14, 2009 at 5:09 am #795212That’s what cracks me up about it so much, I can totally relate to that aspect of shopping with my mom when I was little! 😆
December 14, 2009 at 12:52 pm #795213Christmas?
Hopefully, arriving home. Graduation is the 22nd, and I’m going to drive to my parent’s house (home for me, really) and hope to arrive on Christmas Day at the latest. A few days later, I have a JOB INTERVIEW! Woot!
Now, if I can just get the stains off of my fingernails. Peeps, when you silver-plate something, wear gloves! *sighs*
I do have most of my presents ready to go, but still need to ship some of them. Eeek!
Windstone collector in remission. 😉
December 16, 2009 at 12:54 am #795214I’ll be working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year (my normal 2nd shift), but at least I get to work them from home. I did volunteer (I hope my company does the holiday shift bonus they have done in the past this year! It makes it worth it if they do!). My coworker has from Monday, Dec. 21 until Monday, January 4 off. My family won’t be coming in until Saturday, so it’s not a big deal. I just plug the work laptop in for 4pm and sit and watch tv, play with dogs, maybe work on a ticket or two if it won’t cause too much havoc,. The company is on a year end freeze and it’s a company wide holiday for the place I’m contracted to, so I shouldn’t have to worry about anyone breaking things or making changes, and being a holiday, I really just need to answer the phone and look at issues if something should happen (and the DBAs in Asia shouldn’t be doing ANYTHING to cause me headaches). Hoping nothing requires hands and feet locally (I don’t want to drive the hour to work just to kick a server). My brother and his family are bringing their new dog, Gilly (short for Gilligan… he’s a labradoodle, under a year old), so I’ve been ‘Gilly-proofing’ the house and making any low-lying plush, collectibles, or windstones disappear temporarily. I hope he and my dogs get a long (they are 10 yr old American Cocker Spaniels, not related). I already ‘Gilly-proofed’ the fence (we’re re-doing it next year, but it needed some work to make it fine for the winter and for Gilly, in case he should try anything, like jumping against it or something). It should be fun. I’m just trying to catch up on sleep now. The last few weeks have been nothing but work, work, and family issue chaos. The holiday will be peanuts in comparison.
I’m also working New Year’s eve (not a holiday) and New Year’s Day (a company holiday).
December 17, 2009 at 6:43 pm #795215We had talked about going over to my parents place at the beginning of next week for a few days, but we can’t because if we do there isn’t anyone to watch my nephew on the two days I normally do. Boo. Should have though about it earlier so his parents could have made other arrangements.
On the up side I got a Chrsitmas card from Melody and family in the mail today. Made me smile. 😀
