I am curious as to what you are buying in America? Are you trying anything particularly American? What do you think of our men? Do they compare to the handsome Swiss boys? 😆 😉

For the first time I walked into a store that sells Windstones and looked at them in person before actually getting to choose. It was wonderful. I’ll put something about it in the Flea Market, too.
Besides that – but you probably read this in my blog before I erased it – I was at Cabela’s and bought some gun accessories. I’ve also found some clothes that I actually like (Columbia outdoors gear) and bought those. I’m a little over my $50 per day calculation, but I think I’m doing fine.
The guys? I guess I got used to the Swiss. I think American guys are more interesting. 😛 And there are a lot fewer pink shirts, which is good. Pink on guys is disgusting.July 12, 2007 at 5:31 am #598646😆 😆
July 12, 2007 at 6:57 am #598647😆 I didnt realize the Swiss wore pink, too! The German guys do it, but no, you will see very few American guys wearing pink. It emasculates them. 😉
I dont like that you are in a different time zone now. I am so bored and have no one to talk to! *Yawn!*
July 12, 2007 at 12:15 pm #598648Sorry, Ski. Only about eight weeks to go…
Today I hope I won’t spend any money. My cousin and I are going to bike around a little, and then around midday we’re going kayaking with two of his friends. This evening we’re going to birthday party. I’m curious about that. I always only celebrated my birthday in a family circle.July 12, 2007 at 12:16 pm #598649Really? We use any excuse to party. 😆
July 12, 2007 at 12:19 pm #598650I sort of figured that. 😆 I’m actually not a big fan of parties. But this one will be interesting. I’m just bringing the birthday girl a bar of chocolate from Switzerland. My cousin said that’d be good enough.
July 12, 2007 at 12:37 pm #598651mmmmmm… Chocolate. Dang.. now I need a candy bar. Thanks. Way to go. 😆 What is so interesting about the party? Just cuz its a friend, or will there be a table dancer there or something?! (Oooh! Ooh! Invite Meeeeee!)
July 12, 2007 at 12:41 pm #598652Table dancer? I highly doubt it. I don’t know what’s interesting about it. I don’t even know what age the birthday girl is. It’s just a way to fill the evening, I guess. And I’m sure we could get you in if you can be here in Northern Michigan by 5 p.m. EST.
July 12, 2007 at 12:44 pm #598653By 5pm? Dang… there is always a catch.
July 12, 2007 at 12:48 pm #598654😆 Sorry. Should have let you know earlier. You’d have been the life of the party, I’m sure. 😛
July 23, 2007 at 9:50 pm #598655So GB, anything interesting to add here in the way of purchases or social activities? 😕

The funny thing is my mom loved pink on guys! She thought it was sexy.
July 24, 2007 at 1:01 am #598657Oh yech.
Yes, star, I have been buying. We stopped at this store in Austin that carries Windstones, Gifts a la Mode. She was sold out of the painted pieces, but she was very knowledgable on Windstones and obviously kept them in good stock. She had all three polar bear candle lamps, both bunnies, the Sea Fire, the Lion Sconce and the ark animals, and all on sale. I almost bought the ark animals, but it’s not a piece I really really want. So I got this instead, and I’ll probably buy more:
The photo doesn’t do it any justice, but I can’t capture the colors either. It shimmers in rich red, gold and peacock tones and I just love it. -
