wow weird listing I can’t believe e-bay didn’t pull it right away. I wounder what happens if you bid, is she going to send you an invoice for nothing?!LOL
February 17, 2007 at 8:09 am #541234Ebay usually only pulls things if they get reported. They don’t review, or even try to review every listing that’s posted.
February 17, 2007 at 9:25 am #541235I wonder about her reserve. How can she have a reserve if she’s asking for money for nothing?
February 17, 2007 at 10:09 am #541236I reported it… and im tempted to bid just to seee what the reserve is. Its not like she can charge me for anything. 😆 I think she is asking for donations so that she can rebuy her treasures.
February 17, 2007 at 11:08 am #541237I don’t think she’s asking for donations…she says on there, if you have any of these and are willing to part with them please let me know, I’ll pay what I can…

-J R R TolkienFebruary 17, 2007 at 11:38 am #541238It made some sort of sense the first time I read it, but now I’m confused. If she can pay for the pieces, why is she asking for money with an emerald male?
February 17, 2007 at 3:27 pm #541239Maybe the emerald Male is a picture of one of the pieces she wants? The whole thing is crazy 😯
February 17, 2007 at 4:17 pm #541240Hmm i wouldn’t have thought the windstone Dragons would have burnt but then if it was her house the house falling on top of the dragons would have killed them…
Strange thing to put on ebay ❓
February 17, 2007 at 4:31 pm #541241Well, I gather she wants the emerald male. But what a weird way to go about it. I even have a want it now. But I got an offer to make me a Castle of the Hawks…So I sent it on to John (without looking at the site the link had)…Low and behold I finally went to it, and they make everything from “toys” to “women’s clothing” and several little plastic sculpts. The thing was it was so embarrassing to know I sent it to John…
She did go about this wrong, and most of you who wondered aobut her house…I dunno. Perhaps she figures people will contact her first rather than put them on ebay then that way she can buy them outright and won’t have to fight all of us to get them…But I think I would be a bit more worried about losing my house. Especially now that Chessie says they just turn colors…”Look everyone! This is the new “Flamed” dragon!” 😆February 17, 2007 at 4:33 pm #541242It does make sense in a way — probably a lot more people would be likely to see an auction listing than a want-it-now ad.
In the past I put one of those up and no one ever contacted me even though a couple of people ended up listing the item while my ad was up.

She did say you would receive nothing. That’s probably why she has a reserve price, and it’s probably really high. She won’t have to send anything if no one wins it.
I reported her too. Just to make sure.
February 17, 2007 at 5:59 pm #541244Ebay removed the listing. I saw it last night and reported it as well.
February 17, 2007 at 7:32 pm #541245I saw the listing as well and I was going to contact her to join the forum, but I don’t know if ebay has problems about that thing or not.
February 17, 2007 at 8:04 pm #541246i think she just went about it the wrong way as for ebay wanted ads i only find them when i’m looking forsomething and then it’s someone else looking for the same in the end it’s for the best the ad was pulled
February 17, 2007 at 8:19 pm #541247I think she just put in the lowest bid amount – I suspect you can’t post an auction without a low amount. She is very clear that there is no item so not to bid. I really think it is just someone who is devastated at loosing her house and her windstones. People who have suffered such a loss sometimes focus on one or two things – she may hope that getting one of the Windstones she lost will bring some normalcy to her life. I agree that this isn’t the best way to go about it but she may be so overwhelmed that she couldn’t think of a better way. I bet if she had known about the forum she would have posted a plea here in the flea market. I had a house fire years ago and was lucky to escape with all my pets and minimal property damage. I can’t imagine loosing everything.
I started to post this and got interrupted so I just read the auction had been removed. I do hope she finds Windstones somewhere. Since a couple of people directed her here I hope she finds the flea market threat and posts there.
