I was just bidding on a male peacock and I was using the live counter. The auction was done and it said I won in green and the pay now option came up. Well I went to my ebay in another tab and IT said I was outbid at the last minute. See I don’t understand cause I was the winning bidder at the auctions end and when I checked my ebay the other bid was in after the auction ended. I’m just having bad luck with ebay. Oh well 😥

That’s weird. What is the ‘live counter’? Is that a new ebay feature? I ask because I know they changed their site around and I’m still trying figure out how to see auctions that have completed by sellers (ie. completed windstone auctions, or even with other sellers). I hated this layout when they were testing it and I hate it just as much now 👿
March 3, 2008 at 11:15 pm #674069That’s basically what happened to my husband a few days ago when he was bidding on camera equipment. This just adds to my list of why I hate ebay. 👿
My most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties

You don’t have to refresh your pages to see up to the minute changes. Its a live clock counter so you see when other people bid at the moment they do it.March 3, 2008 at 11:23 pm #674071the dragon collector wrote:That’s basically what happened to my husband a few days ago when he was bidding on camera equipment. Was he using the ebay live counter?
March 4, 2008 at 1:10 am #674072I’m not too sure what he was using. It sounds like it. I’ll have to ask him when he gets home. I’m sure it was though…

I used it on the Oriental I was up against Sapphire on, and she nailed it in the last second. I think the 1-click bid actually slows you down.

March 4, 2008 at 1:53 am #674074I use the Mozilla download (add on) for eBay but as a reminder only. It generally runs 30 seconds or so behind the auction.

I agree. I tried 1-click on an auction I was so-so about, just to try it. I lost. I think you are better off trying to snipe with a set amount at the end.
