What size gemstone should I buy for my PYO unicorn? I see quite a few holes where gemstones might go, but I don’t know if they are all meant for gemstones.
I am also considering ordering from this website, http://www.artbeads.com/swarovski-flatbacks-rhinestones-ss09.html, but are there others that I can look at? Thanks!

June 10, 2008 at 8:25 pm #712457The diamond backs are called Chatons. You can get them here:

June 10, 2008 at 10:46 pm #712458I’ve always gotten the flatbacks so I will have to bookmark that other site, thanks Jasmine!
Does anyone know what size the griffin would take? Maybe someone could figure out what sizes all the PYOs take and it could be put in a sticky somewhere?
June 10, 2008 at 11:50 pm #712459I wish I knew what size the male and female production unicorn has, I got a set of black ones for nothing at a garage sale, but they are missing all their siam jewels. π (But they only cost me $5 each! π― )

Yeah! lol Now we just need to figure them all out π I try using the ‘search’ option, but I think I am doing it wrong as it never comes up with anything close to what I was looking for π³
June 11, 2008 at 2:46 am #712463I tried looking earlier today as well and couldn’t find it either.

I believe the female has a 4mm jewel and the male has three 6mm jewels, at least, that is what my ruler is saying. They measure up to the same against my swarovski beads.

Were you also looking for a gem size? I know you mentioned the griffin above, but which griffin? I only have the male griffin. The only PYO I have are the griffin, kirin, and the small dragon…so I couldn’t help you there.
If you have a MM ruler you could use that and look at chatons listed on the sites above.

Unfortunately I dont have a mm ruler. I just might have to get one. I know a lot of forum members paint PYO’s, so if anybody knows ANY of the PYO gemstone sizes….please specify here! π
