that is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Your work is WONDERFUL but it’s very time consuming since you do it all by hand

Is everything you paint by hand? I know all your special pieces are. But, do you not do airbrush at all? That would make painting them easier and quicker for you. But, I know the LPs are mostly Melody’s area, so she would probably be the only one doing those kinds of things. And they’d probably just rather have your talent put into just the special pieces that bring in the big bucks on Ebay. I hope to be able to afford one of your pieces someday. Because they are all so awesome!

I sometimes airbrush a solid base coat onto pieces, just so they don’t suck all of my brushwork into the gypsum- but yes, everything I paint is by hand, with paintbrushes. I could probably learn to airbrush, but that would defeat the purpose of why they hired me. They want me to brush paint, because you can get the most detail and a different look with brushes. 🙂
LP pieces are sometimes painted only by Melody (such as the Poadsâ„¢) but often they are painted by the production airbrush crew, just like normal production.
