January 2, 2007 at 11:29 pm #522548Okay so when will the earthquake get here? 😆 I’m just kidding. I would jump up and down too, but, I think my neighbor would kill me for it.

I think both you and Ski are out of luck with that wish… It’s true that there will never be any other PROTOTYPE Old Warriors in Black Gold, but I’m thinking that there will eventually be regular production OW in black gold, but after all it’s not exactly the same sculpt, so yours will always be special.

Well we can always hope. I dont think that a few differences in the sculpt are enough to justify spending an extra $700 or $500 on a sculpt like some of us did. If they do come out regular production, that would totally screw the resale value of my piece. What on Earth did I pay $1000 for?? Oh well… I guess only time will tell.
January 2, 2007 at 11:46 pm #522551Exactly. Kind of makes those of us who paid more look stupid. Why pay $1000 on a prototype, when you can get almost the same thing for a few hundred.
January 3, 2007 at 12:02 am #522552I’m seriously hoping for a gold OW…or one in Em pea. But mostly gold ^_^

ah to dream!

Are they numbered on the bottom?

Numbered signed and a certificate of authenticity. But, seriously would you pay $500-$700 more for a numbered one? It would bring down the value if they mass produced the blackgold OWs. Same with the other prototype colours. It’s kind of pointless to buy the prototype actually. I know I wouldn’t have bought one of the prototypes if I knew that they were going to bring out the regular OWs in that colour.

Well I have a emerald Prototype OW and I plan on getting a regular production one. So I guess I would say yes, I would buy both. Prototype mean something totally different to me. They are special. If they are numbered and have a letter then I think it would keep the value.

I’m with you guys! I saw that frenzy and hoped they would eventually come out, but I’ll survive. I got the Black Emerald Peacock one so I’m happy =)
I can’t wait for the Emerald Peacock Empreor Dragon and the griffin family. Though I’d really love to see a new color of the closed eye Flap cat someday. I can dream can’t I? *calico, calico*

January 3, 2007 at 2:56 am #522559well you all know I have been waiting very patieintly for the Green Fledgling to finally surface as complete. I would also LOVE to see as many in Gold as possible. The new Gold not the old buttery monotone gold
January 3, 2007 at 3:07 am #522560Violet Flame fledgeling. *grin* Not that I’m counting too hard on it, but I can hope, right?
Of those we know for sure, the griffin chicks, and the large PYO dragon (and the small ones with green eyes!) are what I’m most after.
