I have someone asking about priming a horn for repainting and I wondered what kind of primer to suggest using. Anyone got a recommendation? I assume this is somewhere in this forum already, but I’m not finding it (and I’m SOOO bad at using the search function). Thanks!

I’ve used Krylon ColorMaster Primer. You can also use primer sold in hobby stores for pewter miniatures but it’s more expensive. Krylon is a more economical purchase formulated for use on metal. You can get it in white, black, brown and gray. White is best if the painter isn’t using metallic paint. If they are, black is a good base.

This is good to know! Makes sense too since Krylon has a series of spray paints for metals.
