Well, I’m more into the Phoenix, Fire Bird, Thunder Bird, etc group. But, of those dragons. I don’t care what kind. I like the myth of the Eastern dragons, and how they look.
I had to look up Hieracosphinx as I had never heard the term before. I’m still not sure of the difference between it an a griffin. I’ve seen two differing descriptions. One says it’s a Falcon-headed sphinx, the other comprising a lion with the gryphon’s aquiline head replaced by that of a falcon.
Along the same lines I’ve never head the term Occidental Dragon. Is that another name for Western Dragons or is it something else entirely?

It’s page 104 if it doesn’t come up right. But, it has a body like a crocodile, wings like a bat, huge legs like a lizard, with long claws. Head like a crocodile, a toothed dorsal ridge, and a long serpentine barb ended tail.It means Western dragon. 🙂 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occidental

Dragons for me of course! But, I’m also a big fan of the phoenix.

I’d say the Leopleurodon, the Jackalope or Richard Simmons.
