Ok, I know the cards said this would be a bad year, but honestly, what is going on?! I’ve seen more deaths, tragedies and sadness that was relatively close to me in some way this year than any other.
I’ll start the list, most recent first:
Our best friend’s mom died today of cancer
Something’s up with BDW that she’s leaving
Rab is really sick
My dad’s boss get’s diagnosed with cancer
My cousin’s best friend gets diagnosed, cancer stage 4
A close family friend dies of stomach cancer
DDVM gets diagnosed stage 4 lung cancer
Emerald loses her kitties
Close friend having trouble with aggressive lymphoma
GB gets run off the road and bike is ruined
Some of our Faire friends and some from the military have diedThere are others on here that have had sick family members, and I’m terribly sorry that I can’t remember who everyone is….
and I know there is more from the beginning of the year that I can’t drag off the top of my head at the moment.
But seriously, what is going on? So much bad stuff happening to good people.
I hope that the last few days of this year and next year are better for everyone, and that those that are sick fight off whatever they have and are with us for a good long time! I send hope and prayers that everyone has a better time in the future and I send strength to everyone that is currently dealing with stuff right now.
Have hope and love in your hearts, and even the bleakest of situations won’t seem so tragic. May the Powers that Be bless us all.
Dont know but add me to that, we found out that my dad has ALS, 2-5 years, havnt shared that here yet though.
I can add to that list. I won’t though, I’m hoping that next year will be better. (It’s not getting a good beginning though….)
It crossed my mind when reading this list that the more people we’re privileged to know and call our friends, the more inevitable human tragedy we’ll witness – and help carry them through.
It has been a bad year for everyone…
Me?
My kitties have been sick a lot more this year then usual, but nothing not treatable thank goodness!
My house is full of violin spiders
I dropped my only means of communication down the automatic flushing toilet at work
My bathroom ceiling fell down around me
Shaun lost his job, I almost lost mine…
but I’ve just about lost my mind in the meantime 😈and now this morning the transmission slipped in my truck after I just sent in the last payment last week! GAH!
It ought to be interesting driving to my second job in a blizzard with my car in neutral most of the ride. XD I just have to laugh at myself at this point! BWA HAHAHA!
*sigh* Hoping 2009 has a better future then this year did for all of us, but the scary part is……
THIS YEAR ISN’T OVER YET!? 😮 NOOO!!! What other horrible things does fate have planned for us all before the year is out?!?!?

Now…Neutral = Park
Drive = Neutral
and 2nd gear = Drive so I can’t go past like 25-30mph before I need to pop it into Neutral or else I’ll burn out my transmission. Somewhere in between my automatic drive is gone?? like 3rd, 4th and 5th gear are missing… I’ll have to have somebody take apart my steering column to fix it. Something shifted and broke iside there I guess??? I don’t really know.Luckilly I only have to hit the highway once a week, but of course today is the one day. 🙄

He agrees it’s probably a mechanical problem, though nowadays one always need to consider the possibility of an electronic mess-up.
Best of luck getting it fixed. I hope it doesn’t cost too much.Transmission related repairs are never fun. Good luck geting it fixed and I pray you don’t have to replace it.
Transmission thing, if you just finished paying it off, it should still be under warranty, have them check it.
Add Bill’s Dad passing away to the list. Bill is our best friend/roommate.
Oh and being sued by every collection agency in town. It’s an epidemic, when I talk about it to people I find out that many of them are going through it too. The bad economy is just being made worse by the refusal of many collection agencies of accepting payments and going straight to the court system. They win in court and go straight for garnishment, no negotiations at all. One of them wouldn’t even talk to me. We’re over it now, but just as we got ours paid off, some dear friends of ours got hit the same way.
