Ah, I feel so bad for the buyer 🙁 That’s extremely nice of you to consider painting her another piece, Watergazer.
I wonder if the girl is using her father’s EBay account and that is why all the positives?
May 17, 2007 at 12:07 am #575223Yeah, what a hassle for the buyer. Its really disgraceful that the seller would do something so deceitful.
May 17, 2007 at 12:28 am #575224I’m so proud of this forum! We’ve just proved we can make a difference. Who knows, now this scam artist (pun intended) will know better than to try again – at least one hopes – and we did our part to straighten the world.
GOOD CATCH AND AWESOME WORK!!!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

May 17, 2007 at 1:19 am #575226Well we can now see what I imagine to be her actual work since she posted another wolf for sale:
Definitely nowhere near Watergazer’s league!

You did invite her to the forum yeah?
May 17, 2007 at 1:30 am #575228hmmmmm….not exactly like water’s picture 🙂
May 17, 2007 at 2:02 am #575229it’s an attempt…not sure it is worth the 60-70 bucks…
May 17, 2007 at 2:48 am #575230Wow…using Water’s picture totally misrepresented the actual item…
May 17, 2007 at 3:36 am #575231I’ve been keeping up on reading the this thread and all I can say is man, why do people do this? How can they feel ok about doing stuff like that?
Anyway, I was looking at their new auction and it looks on par for what I might be able to do (and I have yet to paint any PYO, so that isn’t saying much). It also looks a bit unfinished, but maybe I’ve just been spoiled by too many fine artists here on the forum.
Water, I’m just sorry to see you having to deal with crap. Your professionalism with dealing with the buyer that got burned is wonderful. I hope everything works out.
May 17, 2007 at 8:44 am #575232Dang. What a bummer. That buyer got fleeced, but she should def get her money back in full. I am gonna have to write the seller again since apparently she cant paint 😈 AFTER the buyer gets her money back, of course. I hope she leaves crappy feedback, too. What a stinkin liar that seller is!!!

That, and the seller claims it’s professionally painted? Not really, IMHO…

That’s an idea, Lokie. I wouldn’t have thought of that…
I feel sorry for the buyer. I hope she gets her money back.May 17, 2007 at 9:58 am #575235This is a terrible thing! And idiotic of the seller! Surely she would have guessed that the buyer would realise that the wolf recieved is not the wolf pictured? I can’t understand some people!
I Would love an Old Warrior one day.. any Old Warrior!

Professional is kinda a confusing term. In regards to artists it most commonly means that the majority of your income comes directly from your artwork. I’m a professional artist, but if I quit this job and started working at another career, technically I wouldn’t be a pro artist any more, even though the quality of my work was unchanged. 🙂
I don’t know if he/she is a pro or not- I don’t know where her income comes from. I think the questionable part is the quality of his/her work. 😉
