Thanks again. I have been lurking for a little while and the first thing I noticed about this Forum was how friendly and helpful everyone was. It is a refreshing change from the snipey, back stabbing Forums I have been on in the past. I already feel warm and fuzzy.
And hello Chris! 😀 I hoped that I would find one, if not both, of the new owners of those wayward unicorns. I’m glad that he went to such a great home. I saw pics of the foals once they were fixed up and they look great. Please tell your guy that they are happy and doing well in their new home as well. I don’t want him to worry. 8)

Sweet! You are here!
November 23, 2011 at 2:49 am #863437Welcome to the club! As a longtime Breyer collector, myself, I can tell you for certain that a career shelling out large sums of money for plastic horses (I hope my Connoisseur Conga Line doesn’t see me calling them that…) is GREAT practice for Windstone collecting! 🙂
Try telling your pocketbook that Windstones weigh more, and so you are therefore getting “more” for your money than when you buy Breyers. (I tried that on mine; alas, all my pocketbook did was whisper something about heavier shipping fees before wasting away into near-collapse.)
Interested in buying or trading for: GB Pebble Sitting Red Fox in dark grey, Lap Dragon Test Paints (Water Sprite, Glacial Pearl, Opulence, Pastel Rainbow, and many others - see my Classifieds ad), Blue Morpho OW, GB Pebble Loaf dragons in blue/aqua/teal, and Griffin Test Paints (Black Rainbow or Frosted Jade).

November 23, 2011 at 8:02 pm #863535Welcome! I just recently started collecting Windstones/joined the forum too. When I started collecting, I told myself “Only get your absolute favorites” but… Each dragon looks so good in multiple colors, it’s pretty hard to just pick one! Oh well, I’m just gonna take it one dragon at a time…
I like the Griffons a lot too. I’d like to own the griffon family someday but I’m not in love with the production colors currently being offered for them. Maybe I’ll be collecting long enough to see a new color being produced for them, who knows…
