We haven’t got things set up perfectly yet, however, this is the case right now, as of May 13, 2016!
When you place an order through our store at windstonestore.com you should receive two emails right away:
One from Paypal with the subject “Receipt for your Payment to Windstone Editions”. This would go to the email address that you use for paypal. There is a possibility that if you do not have a paypal account and you are using a credit card to pay us that this email is not generated – I think SOME kind of receipt email should come from paypal as we use their services to process our credit card payments, however I’m uncertain about that and we need to investigate this matter further. We want you to have a receipt for your payment!
And you should receive an email from service@windstoneeditions.com, which is generated by the store, that says “[Windstone Editions] Invoice #__ for order #_____ from —the date—” This email has all of the details about your order (however it doesn’t say that you’ve already paid us, which is odd). I’m not sure why it gives each order an invoice number as well as an order number – if we need to look things up, the order number works the best!
We will be working to improve these emails and make them better.
Both could accidentally get filtered out by your email spam filter.Once we have shipped your order, we change the status to “complete” which generates another email from service@windstoneeditions.com with a subject line that says “Your Windstone Editions order from —date— is complete”.
If we send you any special messages about the order they will come from service@windstoneeditions.com and a subject line that says “Note added to your Windstone Editions order from —date—“.
If you placed an order and didn’t get any emails regarding it, or feel that something may have gone awry and are worried, please email susie@windstoneeditions.com or service@windstoneeditions.com and I’ll check into it. The store had some difficulties during the Young Unicorn stampede however I believe we’ve straightened them all out but I’m not absolutely certain.
We will keep working on making the store work better – however we probably won’t be doing that immediately as our webmaster is busy right now making our forum better. Please continue to report bugs or things you wish were different. We’ll add them to the list!
