You know, I really don’t have any real desires- I’ve gotten all the Windstones I’ve craved and are available, I have a model of the 2006 Chevy Camaro that looks like Bumblebee (YES I’m a Transformer freak- shush!), I actually feel as spoiled as a cat given a half gallon of cream- I’d be okay if Christmas was sparse. But I did ask for a Windstone gift certificate. Past that…I WANT A NEW JOB but that’s more like an “After the New Year’s perk.”

my sister had an Akita….he was huge…he was about a foot over my head when he stood on his back legs…and he wanted to be a lap dog….
only bad thing is he had arhtritis really bad like big dogs usually do….and she couldn’t afford the surgery he needed….so the vet took him and had it paid for…but they give the dogs to a new family….
sad…

I see a lot of them that end up on the Akita rescue sites because people can no longer take care of them.
My daughter and her husband have Great Danes. We like big dogs in this family. 😉 I’d like to have an Irish Wolfhound someday too. Maybe. Also an Ocicat or two and a Maine Coon cat (or two). I like en in pairs so they don’t get lonely 😆 My husband says no more dogs until some that we have are gone. Silly man. He said that about the cats and I got Alf 😉 We have fewer kids at home of course we can feed more animals. 😆

~Hugs~November 28, 2007 at 6:20 am #640031The only things I put down on my wishlist were Buell tuning components and gun parts, as well as books. I won’t be getting any Windstones for Christmas, I know that. I might get some motorcycle gear, but that’s about it. Which is fine, because I have way too much stuff anyway. I like giving better than receiving.

I hope so too girl. 🙁
November 28, 2007 at 5:07 pm #640040I understand the frustration at being told you’re overqualified. Once I had my degree (B.A.) I was not qualified enough for marketing or public relations jobs (no experience), but overqualified at the receptionist, clerical, assistant-type jobs I had done before. I spent a year and a half working temp, looking for work before I decided to go back and get my master’s degree.
Now that I have that, I still don’t have a full-time job, but I’m working part time at the University and adding to my resume, so I’m glad this seems to be working out for me. And I’m still working temp when something works out for my schedule.
Has he tried temp services? Sometimes those jobs work out to be permanent. I don’t know what type of job he’s looking for, so I don’t know if that works for him. It’s just a suggestion.
Best of luck to you both!
