As in, what sort of background stuff do you have going on? I have my ipod dock set up at my work table, but lately I’ve been into listening to movies…I play them on the TV in the livingroom, so I can’t see them but I can hear them…I think I’ve listened to Phantom of the Opera about 5 times during the last 3 PYOs…and The Dark Crystal 3 or 4 times….(I’m one of those freaks that gets really attached to something and doesn’t mind watching (listening to) it over and over and over…)
This question probably isn’t worthy of it’s own thread, but I thought this forum needed love anyway. ^_^

I’ve taken to listening to radio shows – detective stories and suchlike. Or French stations, so I can say I’m studying.
Oh man! I find I seem to paint best when I’m listening (cause I’m not really watching) horror movies! I also throw in some stand up comedy DVDs once in a while. If there is something good on TV I’ll put that on, but I usually have to find one of those movies I’ve seen SO MANY times I don’t even have to watch it to enjoy it. Like the Alien trilogy =D Or all the Saw movies =D YAYAYAYA!!!
I just started listening to music, but I seem to paint really lousy with the TV off. Very straaaange! 😆

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to… movies I’ve seen so many times I can speak the dialogue with the characters as it goes! XD

I cant do anything while I paint. I try to watch TV, but end up getting distracted by either the TV or the painting, so neither gets the attention it deserves. I usually take small breaks to check the forum while I paint. Other than that, I just sit at my table and paint. No music, nothing.
You sound like my mom, Ski. She can’t even read with background music – music without words – on. I can’t do handiwork without background noise!
😆 Its a shame. I can walk and chew gum, though… and I can read and watch tv… Just cant paint and listen. 🙄
