My husband bought me the male Sunset Griffin (from Emerald’s Emporium – thanks Em!) and boy is he stunning in person! He’s also going to build me more shelves in the living room. I’ve run out of the room and the griffin has to stay in his box for now. π π ….it’s been a great Christmas.
You’re welcome. It was hard not to tell you, but I knew it would be a great surprise. π
I got a Windstone Gift Certificate from my brother and sister-in-law. They said they got a letter from Windstone, saying they bought the very first gift certificate ever from Windstones, so that’s very cool. They didn’t give that to me though. I would have like to have seen it. lol
My husband gave me a pair of black boots and a pair of black satin pajamas. He also got me the Dresden Files First Season DVD set and a bunch of the books. And Zombie Flaxx. It’s a game. Flaxx is fun, and I’m looking forward to playing the zombie version.
My mom gave me money to buy a Windstone with (she doesn’t have a computer to buy a gift certificate through, so she just gave me money). I’m going to get the Gold OW for sure. I’ll save the gift certificate for something LP online. I was thinking about the Gold Lap, but I may wait and get a Silver one when/if that comes out. I’m going to get the Red Fire Spectral too, but the Gold OW is first. I’ve wanted it too long to wait any more. π And hubby said it can go in the living room with the Gold Emperor and Jade Scratcher. Yay!
I got hubby a Canon Rebel Digital camera body. He has a bunch of lenses already for the film version he already had, so he can use them on either one now. He’s stunned and pretty happy about it. It sure was expensive! But I’m glad I did it, even if it mean going into debt a bit more.
December 26, 2007 at 12:16 am #649871Woot someone else likes everquest 2! I tried to get into wow but I just couldn’t. Hubby got me the first season of Dexter and a sirius radio for my car. I got him a civil war book on medical surgery and a game for his wii. Then we spent the rest of the day laying around the house being lazy.
December 26, 2007 at 1:20 am #649872For my dear mother whom I love and dote upon, I found a suede handbag that matches her favorite winter coat. For my beloved papa, a thick biography about the Beatles. And for my wonderful, sweet, loving, 16-year-old brother, I filled up the gas tank of his ’71 Chevrolet Chevelle. They liked thier presents, I think 8)
I myself got a pair of cute little furry snowboots with pom-poms, so I won’t have to wear my big rubber clunkers when there are only a few inches on the ground. I got chocolates, lots of smell-good stuff, a few gift cards and enough cash to order a nice Windstone π Neko_Vash_Fly got me a baby Guinea pig from the Petsmart where she works, so that was like a present to me and to the Guinea I already have π She’s adorable.
And in the Windstone department… Mom snuck and got me a silver white Poad back before they sold out! She’s such a brat. I had resigned myself months ago to the fact that I just wasn’t going to have one, and then… surprise! Dad decided to pick me a small Windstone himself from the website and settled on a griff chick. I still don’t know which one it is he picked, though, because the package didn’t arrive in time! He was kind of depressed, but it’s alright. This way I have something to look forward to once Christmas is over π
December 26, 2007 at 2:10 am #649873Well, Santa finally let me open gifts. I got a solid marble lion, two new cds, the new zelda game for my ds, and a little angel ornament from my parents. My sister gave me a book of animal cross stitch patterns. My Uncle and Aunt gave me two pictures of Uncle Ken, a picture of their family and an animated penguin ornament.
My Sister loved the snowmen things. She loves snowmen. So, that went over well. My parents scolded me for spending so much money on the gift cards. π I used my HBC points so the cards really didn’t cost me anything.
And I scolded my parents about spending so much on my gifts. That lion alone cost $80!
December 26, 2007 at 2:31 am #649874Santa visited here but only left a gift for “Baby Delory”, my future niece/nephew. It was a cute little sleeper set and a bib that says ‘My family tree is full of nuts’ and has 2 squirrels on it π
I got gift cards to the book store π , a bunch of DVDs, Money, and dad got me a silver curl with lavender eyes π . Dad is the one who usually gets me a windstone cause he knows how much I like them.
My siblings and I limit ourselves to about $50 per person. It’s more the thought and all being together for us than getting stuff. The best present was that I gave my brother, who collects olympic pins, a few pins he wanted, a shadow box and a ‘gift certificate’ for assistance in creating a display for them all. π
The dog made out like a bandit and got lots of his favorite treats and a bunch of new toys. It`s always fun watching him tear into the presents!
Oh and the Dog gave dad a sweatshirt that says `Sam`s Official Dogwalker`on it π
December 26, 2007 at 6:54 am #649875Congrats to everybody on all the great gifts!
I gave my brothers die cast fighter jet models, a Edvard Grieg CD, a weather station and an invitation to I Am Legend (respectively from youngest to eldest). Dad got a DVD and Mom got some massage oil from me.
I received another dozen or so books, including a beautiful illustrated hardcover volume of Edgar Allen Poe’s works, a collection of Rockwell’s Christmas artwork and a neat encyclopedia of mythological creatures. I also got a darling little wire and fabric dragon, handmade. It’s the cutest little thing. Retta got a blanket from Mom, so she doesn’t get cold when she goes outside. Sissy doggy. π
And lastly, I got a MutliCam armor plate carrier and a couple matching pouches from a friend in the States… This has got to have been the best Christmas I can remember. πDecember 26, 2007 at 10:21 am #649876i didnt get anything accept a christmas card and sushi cats post card from melody heh..which byt he way are currently framed
December 26, 2007 at 3:43 pm #649877I got a baby bouncer and baby clothes from my sister, and a gift certificate to Old Chicago, and a Hickory Farms cheese and meat set. I am glad everyone likes their presents! π
December 26, 2007 at 5:55 pm #649878Santa spent too much time dropping by throughout the year to be able to visit me for Christmas. This year brought a new (used) car (plus the payments), a new tv, a new AC (plus the payments), a new (used) washer and lots of new Windstones :). I did get a gift box from Hickory Farms from one of my sisters. I thought I might get phone calls from family members on Christmas Day, but no one called. So, just a quiet day watching tv, playing WoW and quality time with Sandy (dog) and Bambi (cat).
December 26, 2007 at 6:07 pm #649879Since my husband was home on leeave just before christmas, we had Christmas on three seperate days this year. Nov. 29 with my In-Laws, Dec. 15 with my parents and then yesterday. I spoiled my husband with several books and dvds that he had been wanting as well as a necklace that he ended up getting a tattoo based off of. He spoiled me right back with letting me get the Medicine Hat Test Paint Young Unicorn and a necklace with earrings that have mystic fire topaz in them. It’s an alternate birthstone (according to J.C. Penney) for November’s Citrine. Our son got several new outfits, lots of Cars toys, Candy Land, some coloring books with crayons, several Disney DVDs and some puzzles. He’s set with cloths and toys for a while.
December 26, 2007 at 7:02 pm #649880Everybody’s gifts sound wonderful!
GB, what is a MutliCam armor plate carrier and a couple matching pouches? I know I could Google it, but it’s more fun to hear you talk about it. π
I got more goodies from my family, but one gift was really special. My neighbor sent over homemade biscuits and gravy for Christmas breakfast. She is originally from Kansas and boy can she cook! They were so yummy: -)
December 26, 2007 at 7:12 pm #649881MultiCam is a new camouflage pattern, and the plate carrier is a vest with MOLLE straps for lots of load-carrying (various pouches. He even bought me a couple). You can insert armor plates into the vest for body protection. It’s really cool tactical gear. π
December 26, 2007 at 7:17 pm #649882ooooh, I see! You look cute in camo. hehe! π The Poe book looks wonderful, just from the cover.
December 26, 2007 at 7:27 pm #649883Heh, that camo outfit is about the warmest I’ve got. It’s been below zero for the past few days, and since I’m not at the heated office, I dress accordingly… π
The Poe book is great. I’ve already most of his work a couple times over, but I’ll read it again just for that book.
I need more bookshelves.December 26, 2007 at 9:58 pm #649884frozendragon wrote:Dragon Master wrote:
