Watching lightning storms from the safety of my window (when I’m out in them, I freak! 😆 )
Waking up to the sound of birds outside my window.
Taking a nap after lunch with a good comic strip in my lap.
Staring at trees, being near trees, especially at their bases.
Enjoying the scenery.
Playing with my dog.
Taking deep breaths.
Sitting in front of a fire on a cold winter evening.
Talking to all of you.July 21, 2008 at 6:23 pm #724296July 21, 2008 at 9:36 pm #724297Balancing the checkbook and having the total be a black number instead of a red number.
Someone coming into the store for the first time, looking around, then audibly exclaiming “Oh my God! I’ve been looking for one of these for years!” and then actually buying said one of those.
Saying “You know what?” To my daughter Miri, and having her reply “You love me?”
Complaining idly about something, and having my son Ted put everything in perspective with “And yet amazingly, life goes on.”
Listening to my wife Linda laugh, or tell stories, or talk about whatever interests her at the moment.
Music.
July 26, 2008 at 1:07 pm #724298I love walking through the woods and the way the feel of the air changes when you enter them.
I love snuggling up to my husband and feeling him breathe as he sleeps and listening to his heartbeat.
I love sitting out on a clear night and watching the moon and stars (as long as the bugs leave me alone).
I love sitting on the beach and watching the tide go in/out/

Sun Dragon Koi #3July 29, 2008 at 1:34 pm #724301Feeling Katie Boo (my oldest cat) curl up against my back at night, or curl up on my feet, or against by stomach. Hearing her purr. (Although right now it makes me sad too. She’s lost so much weight recently, and after the trauma of her surgery earlier this year, I don’t think she’s long for this world.)

Are you going to laugh at me? 😳
Because it’s about my favorite physical sensation: SLEEP AND DREAMS. Yup! Paradoxal sleep. Subconscious making me live so curious, sometimes ridiculous adventures…
A dream that I make often at night is that I go back to school, whatever it’s college, high school or university. There, instead of following my lessons seriously, I suddenly stop studying, attending the courses and let my grades go down. Like this. With no regrets at all. Crazy, huh?
Or, sometimes, I dream I’m under water, but I’m still breathing. Not a poetic adventure, though; I fell in water accidentally, or someone else pushed me there. I can’t get on the surface, but I still can breathe. Silly, isn’t it?
So, Paradoxal Sleep in the natural phenomenon that fascinates me the most. Plus, it’s a sensation I just can’t live without… 😯 I can’t help it, it’s just so fascinating to try to analyse those oniric happenings no one can anticipate. Everyone has them, but no one can explain them.
After a good sleep full of dreams, not only my curiosity is excited, but also, I feel my mind completely cleaned up. Just like a messy room that that has been all tighten up. See what I mean?
