I realize the last thing you want to hear is another production color suggestion, but I’m ‘squeeking’ a little about it :). Pink seems to be popular color suggestion, but what about purple? I have to admit, with the exception of Autumn Leaf dragons possibly coming into production (fingers, toes and eyes crossed!) if a purple line of dragons came out I would FREAK .
When working with colors it gets down to pigments that are available. The purple we use is one of the “Pthalo”
ones, and it is so intense I can’t take too much of it at once. To match a color you can picture in your head isn’t that easy!May 8, 2008 at 4:59 am #698300Jennifer wrote:Purple has always been the hardest color to paint and get right for me. Melody, have you experienced this too? Maybe it’s not so bad with airbrushes.
I think red is the hardest.
May 8, 2008 at 5:06 am #698301I hate painting purple too. Purple seems to be the hardest for me, though I enjoy looking at it when others use it. I actually like painting red though. I think it’s one of my favorites to work with.

I thought purple would be a nice addition 😀 . Maybe after fifty years or so, we can have a rainbow convoy, a dragon representing every color 😀 .
Maybe a Royal Purple…with bright yellow eyes….like the deep purple iris. 😀
Yeah, I could go for that. 😀 But even a little bit of purple shading on a white dragon would be very clasy.
May 8, 2008 at 6:46 am #698303Purple Dragons would be REALLY kewl!!
May 9, 2008 at 4:18 am #698304Im ALWAYS excited to see anything purple because it’s my favorite color. I WISH Windstone would do more variations on purple like they do with some of their greens and reds. Consider Emerald, EmPea, Intense EmPea, Old Green, actual dark Jade and accidental jades; Ruby, Red Flame, Russet and dare I add VF to that because for me it has way more Flame than Violet- I can hardly tell it from my Russet.
Id love for them to really crank out some attainable (non-ebay) purple scheme pieces- and I’ll go further to say… not just on dragons!

I like both colors. Purple, especially phthalo purple, is great stuff. (Here with a blue base coat, which makes it even richer.)
