Welcome! Great to meet you! If you want to post pictures, I know there is information in the forum here and there about how to do that. If you post pictures on something like flicker or photobucket, you just copy the code from the website and insert the code in your post or message and it will show up as your pictures. Or message Hannah and she can explain it or do it for you if you email her pictures, as she did that for me.

I’m afraid I’m not at all good at using things like photobucket :-(. But I can certainly email LOL. (And yeah, I read the how to post pics thread. I am just so hopeless!)
But I’ll go to fb right now, and if you feel like it you can check out my 20+ year old Pegasus, along with the Pena print that goes so perfectly with him! 🙂February 21, 2013 at 10:15 pm #893646Welcome!
The print you were referring to is “Maiden on Pegasus” ( naming things isn’t one of our strong points)
That was one of a line of prints we published in the 80’s under the name “Alberti Design”.

You are propably my favorite artists of all time, and your creations have been a part of my happy, home environment for SO long! Seriously, your sculptures are the only ones I have ever bought for myself, they are so amazing! So lifelike, and so beautiful! And they just plain have personality (and not in the way that a talking fish on the wall does LOL)
I nevr had any idea there was a penguine there!!!! And I just found him! He’s so tiny! I never would have spotted him if you hadn’t just now told me that!
I got this print back in the 80s. I used to comb through every singly fantasy poster and print I evr saw. And when I saw “The Maiden” I was SO taken by her! First off, it is simply one of the most real-looking fantasy prints I have ever seen. But something about it seemed familiar. Well, of course, I bought it, and when I got it safely home I kept looking at it (loving it, but not understanding why it semed so darned familiar!). And then I saw your signature, exactly the way it was on my dragons. And then it all made sense :). (I must admit, though, that I always figured that “Pena” was a man. LOL I don’t know why. Maybe it had something to do with my second favorite fantasy artist (who put out WAY more posters BTW LOL) being a man)).
Anyways, I saw the white Male Pegasus appear in Travelog within a year of getting The Maiden. I started paying him off the day I first saw him. He goes SO beautifully with the print! It’s like him having a family picture on the wall. And that print holds the place of prominence in my living room. And it always has (and will). I did a kinda bad job framing it, I cut off the signature, and I refuse to take it out of the frame in order to inspect it further. It is WAY too valuable to me!
It is SO great to see that you are still hatching out all these beautiful new babies! I never in a million years would have figured that you and Windstone are a family. And you are still together and bringing so much beauty and happiness to the world.
And I’ve been missing it!February 22, 2013 at 12:12 am #893651I really am super, super excited to have found this place, to have found you guys, who can totally appreciate and understand my extreme love for My guys, mt Dragons, my good old Pegasus (and his family portriat)! I don’t know if you can even understand how this feels to me. These guys have been part of my family for SO long, and I love them SO much! To suddenly run across all of you guys who feel the same way about them as I do, after ALL THESE YEARS!
Well, it’s just really, really cool :-).
No one has specifically told me not to, so I’m gonna post a link to the pics of my guys on fb. (And actually, I’m still obsessing over my browns and green that I haven’t posted their pics yet.
But if it is not okay for me to do this, just tell me, and I wont do it again.

There’s a whole thread with instructions on how to link them so they’ll show as images here. I believe it’s in the General Windstone section, stickied to the top.
And yes, welcome to our dysfunctional enabling society. We are very good at what we do, and your wallet will not thank us. 🙂 Like you, I remember and have owned a few early pieces. Stumbled across this place last January and oh dear…my two Siamese flap cats now have to share space with far more Windstones than we ever planned on!
Now…falcons and hawks? I want to hear about this. 🙂
And have you looked at the wonderful griffins Melody’s produced in the last year? There have been some stunning paint schemes recently based on different birds.
February 22, 2013 at 1:27 am #893668Welcome to the madness! Just kidding of course, this is an awesome group of people from all over and it’s always fun even just to read along with the conversations. Since you’re already on Facebook, don’t forget that Windstone and Melody have pages! All sorts of neat pictures and goodies there too 🙂 Again, welcome and enjoy the good company!
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!

LMAO! AS it happens I believe that I may well be selling a saddle tomorrow. A girl who used to ride here hit me up on fb this afternoon about it. I have5 extra saddles. I call that fate :-).
THe Windstone creatures sure to leave their mark on you, don’t they!
Briefly, about the hawks and falcons, I am a falconer. I’ve been totally obsessed with raptors for as long as I can remembber, and to make a very long story short, I am planning on moving over to England this summer in order to make more of a carreer out of my need to live with raptors :-). I currently own and fly a female harris hawk, named Caprica. We have been together 5 years and she is like a flying, ultra-predatory pet dog :-). (Yes, she’s coming with me!)
OMG!!! Yes! I LOVE the Griffons! I just sat and stared when I saw the Ocelot Griffon. Uh, I want that :-). Yeah, I want that really bad. Besides my raptorlust, I recently worked with a pair of ocelots at a zoo near here. THey are stunningly beautiful cats. Melody crosses one with a bird of prey, and how can I not need that?
But I need to start slow. Sad thing is, I know I’m gonna price that saddle tomorrow after studyling the “Available” page here. I SO NEED another Dragon! And there are literally hundreds of new ones that I’ve never seen before now! (you have to remember that back when I used to see a new Dragon, I would always, immediately be making plans to buy it! This was long before this horrible intrenet existed LOL. Back then I was only exposed to one at a time, there was time to plan and save.) Now I’m 20 years behind!
But I can promise you I am gonna LOVE trying to catch up!
And oh yeah, fb is a small world these days. Of course I “liked” Windstone Editions”! And Melody!
OKay, I need to go look at some Dragons for sale here.February 22, 2013 at 3:17 am #893679Well I think we have a winner :-).
(Three actually, but I’m going to have to sell more than tomorrow’s saddle for what I’ve got my heart set on.) It’s okay. My heart probably couldn’t handle getting two new Dragons at once anyway!)
i am gonna sell Christa that saddle tomorrow and buy my first new dragon in 20 years!!!!
I gotta say that browsing Dragons here is almost as addictive as owning them :-).
But I thought about it long and hard. Hopefully by day’s end tomorrow I will have my name on a new girl :-). It’s SO hard to decide! But I have decided that I absolutely must own a Black Violet Peacock Mother Dragon.
The Mother Dragon was one of the last ones I evr saw in Travelog (I moved away, and there was no internet)
It has always killed me that I never brought a Momma home to my guys and youngster.
I very, very much love her coloring. She’s distinctly different from my Emperor, but reminiscent of his coloring. And at the same time she is certainly colorfull enough to hang out with everybody else too.
It’s probably a very good thing that I have new baby lineolateds in the nest right now, cause next on my list (after Momma)has definitely got to be the Black Violet Peacock Old Warrior Dragon version2. I had to physically force myself to stop looking at his enlaged image. He will be completly new to me. I have never seen an Old Warrior Dragon in person. And what can I even say about his plumage….. (sigh…)February 22, 2013 at 3:34 am #893682If you are looking for older ones or ones not sold in the store on here currently you can also browse the Classifieds section on here under Community where people post Windstone pieces they have to sell or trade or ones they want. Also eBay is a good place to search for older ones. That is how I acquired most of mine but I like looking up the Classifieds on here to find pieces I wouldn’t otherwise see in the store or on eBay. I’d like to see how your pegasus is coming along too. I just fixed one up that had minor chips and will be selling that along with others I have under classifieds.
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
