……Snow……Ya…it gets below 65 degrees and I’m in a down jacket…. π
When I lived in the warmer climate of the Central Coast California, I was freezing at 65 F too, but now I consider that windows down while driving temps. LOL!
It’s all in what you’ve gotten used to, I never would have thought the weather I considered “freezing” in Calif, to be balmy here, but I do.

October 14, 2008 at 1:19 am #735839Yup! The boys complain when I make ’em wear long sleeves at 40 F. I sound like my mum… “go put on a sweater” they aren’t cold but I am π

October 14, 2008 at 1:29 am #735840*old man voice* I used to walk to school in 35 below (celsius) through 3ft of snow! And that was the t-shirt weather! You should hear about the 50 below! *smacking of gums*
Sad thing is, is that’s true…. I remember showing up for college in my first year (it was actually 40 below with windchill and such) and my instructor looked at me and said, “You WALKED?!? You must be crazy!” π
So it really depends in what you grew up in…. Although I was kinda cold after that walk, despite gloves, coat, touque, scarf.. etc… π
I can’t wait until I get snow up here! I’m all excited for it… π
October 14, 2008 at 5:15 am #735841Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you grew up in. I grew up in Edmonton and I still don’t like the cold especially freezing temperatures and snow. I switched from my wimpy fall coat to my winter coat last week cause the walk to the bus stop was getting too chilly for me. Indoors if it’s below 22C I’m cold with a sweater on (and will sometimes pull out a scarve to keep my bare neck warm, I find being chilled worse than being downright cold).

That’s true. We haven’t had a really nice summer – or a very wintery winter, but I’m fine with that – in years here in Switzerland. I can live with the cold, but I don’t like it one bit. Ever since the record summer in 2003 I feel like I get a little more cold-blooded every year. This past week was warm and balmy at 18Β° C; I’d have been wearing capris and T-Shirts in that weather a few years ago; now I’ve got on jeans, long sleeves and jacket. I’s getting sissified. π
