A moment of silence please, as this guy was epic in the making.
As you can see, this scheme begs for neat lines. Soon after I started him, I discovered that with all the different types of scales, nooks and crannies, the keeper was probably the worse sculpt for that!
I therefore quickly became an extremely active member of Procrastinators R Us and found all sorts of other things to paint, things that did not involve pebbly scales : walls (I could write an ode to the flatness of walls), swaps, trades, commissions, PYOs for myself and even (gasp) a few repaints.
And now (here comes the epicness), OVER 2 YEARS after I started him, here’s the Westcoast Native keeper!
The body is based on Heron and the wings on Eagle, and he holds a Tree of life charm from Oberon Design. I gave him a glossy finish, which made the pictures a wee bit difficult – there are reflection spots and some glare, but the colors are true. Thank you to Littleironhorse, who gave me the blank keeper.

Oh was he ever frustrating! And there are spots on which I had to give up…
Them pebbly scales are awesome if you’re antiquing or dry-brushing, but now I know they don’t like lines so much.
