I shot a deer from my front window two weeks ago.
It was getting dark, sorry for the quality.
You shot his poor leg off!
It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out just why that deer’s leg looked like that.. I mean, I knew it must have been snow, but..

I was looking for the wound on his butt! Great pics!!
Well don’t you see the little hole? It’s right there.
XD
Good thing I wasn’t drinking my tea or you’d owe me a new keyboard!

February 8, 2009 at 5:13 am #751420You’re bad!
I thought you were actually hunting….
Blame it on being crazy over homework, but what happened to the leg in Jen’s picture? I don’t see where it would be covered with know, it looks photoshopped to me

It’s stepping onto a plowed road(?), so its back leg is still in a snow drift on the edge of the road (does that make sense? It’s tough to see..)

I knew you were talking about pictures when I saw the original post, and was like, okay, where the hell are the pictures, you tease! LOL! But I didn’t want to say it just then, and give it away that you were messing with people. But I know you, so didn’t fall for it. *evil grin*

We have deer here as well, but yours look fuzzier…Maybe it’s because yours aren’t trying to run into my car… around my car…in front of my car…and I’m not worried about hurting/hitting any of those guys…Thanks though, they were lovely to look at.

It’s called getting meat that was not raised in a stock-yard, and meat that has a carbon-neutral impact on the earth. Something that can’t be said of any of the animals we typically get meat from currently – especially cows. Give me a free-range deer over a cruelly treated stockyard animal any day of the week.
Well, gee. I was hoping to see a fine buck or doe about to become BBQ.
Great photographs anyways… I took a few myself. Though, given the option, they would be stocking my larder:

Hopefully you’ll get to see me in September with my first (dead) deer…
