I am just going to list what a horrible day I had, so when I am having another one later, I can come back, read about this day, and realize its not so bad.

I got up around 0500, went and did PT. As im in the shower, staff duty calls and tells me that two of the soldiers didnt show up for headcount. So I am naked, talking to my 1sg, trying to find 2 soldiers to get to the headcount duty since the original two are at gunnery in Graff. I go to my physical and sit around for 30 min waiting for no reason… cuz people are lazy… then go get my blood drawn. As im about to get poked, we (Me and the 2 black guy techs) start talking about this cartoon, Boondocks, and the N-word. We get a little chewing from an E-7 that was walking by BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. Well, one of the nurses then tells me that I cant get my EKG cuz the room is full, so basically I waited for nothing. She also tells me I have to go to BFV (Where my house is 20 min away) to do my eyes and ears, but dont worry… they take walk-ins. Well, I drive over there and they dont take walk ins. I drive back to work. Housing calls me from BFV… says I can come in and file my paperwork with finance. I drive back to BFV, get my paperwork, and go downstairs to finance. Finance is closed and only opens on Tuesday and Wed. I drive back to work. 5PM rolls around and I realize I will not be off work anytime soon. I drive back to BFV to pick up my son and drive back to work. While I am there, everyone is calling me cuz the aircraft are all broken and I only have 3 soldiers and 2 aircraft capable of flying and there are 4 missions tomorrow. YAY! As Im on the phone, again, Justin starts crying and holding his ear. I drive him to the emergency room in Heidelberg, 30 min away. I am called 6 times while trying to talk to the doc… one of my last two acft have broke. Still four missions tomorrow. Cant find one of my soldiers, Justin is still crying. Now im crying cuz justin is practically cunvulsing. 😥 I get lots of meds. Drive back to work, finish fixing acft so we have two again for tomorrow, and actually find a baby sitter for Justin since he cant go to school tomorrow. Its 930pm when I get off work. I drive home, drug up Justin, and take the poor dogs out, who have not been out since 0530 this morning. Today was just a horrible day. Oh, and I didnt win the flap cat… oh well.. next time. Sorry… just wanted this day on record. 😉

Yes, though I had to piss off one of my troops to get it done. One of my soldiers’ wife has the school option, so we made a deal that he can go home on time on Tue and Thurs to watch the baby while his wife is in school. Any other days, I get to work the piss out of him. Well, I put him on a all day mission tomorrow, not thinking it was Tuesday. He called later and I switched him and Talley. Now Talley has a mission from 0600-1800 (Really two missions back to back) and Dave had a short mission from 0600-1200. Talley is unhappy. He was basically top dog before I got there and now he is a little worker bee. I dont like using him like that. I want him around to supervise, but with only 3 flyable people, I have to use him. 😕

Dang, 12-hour duty. That’s quite something.
          Btw, what’s actually ailing Justin?

hmm….your day reminds me of most of my days….

all except I don’t have people to boss around or things to fix…but mine are mostly running in circles waiting for no reason…

You poor thing!!! What a horrible day!!! And it sounds like Justin has an ear infection on top of it!! 🙁

I hope things are better tomorrow, although it sounds a bit questionable now. 😕

Sorry about your day. I hate days like that. I hope Justin is feeling better. And hopefully the next cat has your name on it (like an Easter egg – a little “ski” hidden in the wings)
