Glad you are okay, sorry about your car.

A fracture is a broken bone, the distinction is that it was not dislocated and did not need to be put back into place, but the bone is still broken. Think of it as cracked. So you’ll need a cast to keep it stable while it heals, and to prevent it from breaking all the way should you fall on it. Been there, done that.

Sounds like the other driver was being pretty stupid, too bad you had to pay for it.

Hope you feel better soon and heal fast.

I’m so sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident. It’s good you still have mobility and have family around to help out.

I agree, the other driver’s insurance should pick up the bill, but if they start stone walling, you should seek legal advice. I’m not advocating lawyers or sueing for compensation, but sometimes they are necessary to get what you are entitled to under the law and to know your rights.

Heal quickly and well and keep us informed. *gentle hugs* πŸ™‚

I’m sorry to hear about your accident but I am glad it was your car and not you that was total out. Also hope you are feeling better soon. Mend Quickly.

Goodness! I’m glad to hear you are ok! I hope you feel better soon. Accidents are deffinately unpleasant things.

While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

Wow, I’m glad you’re okay. This reminds me of the first time I broke a bone. It was two years ago and I was proud of the fact that I had never broken one before. Then I met Ryan, two days later I was in a horrific snowboarding accident. I was boarding at The Wisp and just started going down Squirrel Cage (I’m not sure how many diamonds it was) but it was a really steep trail. I just started going down when a skier cut me off, making me swurve and hit a patch of ice. So I fell but it was to steep for me to stop myself. I proceeded to fall down a 25 foot rock face, breaking my arm in two places. Falling into a lot of snow which broke my fall for the most part but I did sprain my ankle pretty bad. Then I rolled down the rest of the trail, smacking into the back of the lodge. So, the ski patrol guy finally catches up to me and says “Dude! Are you okay?” I just stared at him and held my tongue because God knows I would have ripped him a new one. But I never broke a bone before in my life till after I met Ryan, of which it has been a wonderful two years and running ^_^

I know what you mean when you say its sickening. Nothings worse then hearing your own arm or anything break. I probably would have been able to stop if the breakaway system on my board worked and snapped itself off when I fell. But it didn’t and thus the falling down the mountain >_< I'm not sure if that's quite like a car accident but I'm guessing its pretty close.

Word of advice, just relax and don’t stress for now, it will only take you that much longer to recover. And when they say its okay for you to move and do stuff, work your soreness out gradually but remember to work at it as much as possible. It makes the healing go faster, don’t do too much though, don’t strain. Everything will work out, don’t worry.

Aw man, Linsey, I’m sorry. πŸ™ But I’m glad your okay. But I know what you’re feeling about your car. Sorry.
I do hope you sister gets you some Windstones to cheer you up – and hopefully not doubles of ones you’ve got. πŸ˜›
I have to say that little dialog of your mom and dad made me grin.

I haven’t broken a bone either (still haven’t). But a few years ago I was a passenger in a terrible accident. I couldn’t write or type for 2 months (my hand I mainly use for that was like ground beef [I can use both hands]) and my hair is still trying to repair itself (funny thing for a guy to say, lol. I have long hair).

I’m glad to hear you made it out better than I did! Who the hell drives without their glasses? >/ I can’t believe the thought of some people. Sorry about your car too… I dare ask how you’ll be getting around now if it’s totaled… I’m sorry for that. A car a huge thing to replace D:
Well, the worst didn’t happen so all is well. For the most part >.>

I personally have always been cautious of people that drink to relax. My dad started like that.

Did the other driver have insurence? Because it’s entirly his fault and he should have to pay for you injuries and lost work and car.

I hope you feel better soon.

Awww ^.^ Thank you guys sooo much for your kind words and wishes. They really mean a lot to me *smile* I’ve got pictures of my car (don’t think you’d want to see pics of my damage lol its UGLY) I’ll try to get them scanned tomorrow if my mother is brave enough to try using my scanner hehe The swelling in my knee has gone dowm a lot, but all my bruises have gotten darker. My best friend came dowm and made the hour drive to visit and spend the night last night. It was good to see her, and she said the bruises will get worse before they get better.

Now the worst thing is being stuck on the couch and not being able to leave the house or go upstairs. oh well though πŸ˜›
I hope I do get a fair amount after bills are paid. I want to spend a little on myself, yes, and pay my debt, but I have always said “If I had a million dollars…” (even though I know I won’t get that much πŸ˜† ) that I’d donate some to a no kill animal shelter, and help my family and a special friend or two who were in real financial need.

I’m not a hard-core religious person, but I believe in signs. If there’s a problem you’re dealing with, and if you look and listen, the answer will be shown to you. Just before I left my house, I was talking to this boy, and he was explaining why he’s been so shady and flaky…he has a ton of bills from an infection he had, he’s diabetic, other problems and can’t sleep at night etc. I told him aloud “I wish like anything that I could help you out” and 20 minutes later…bam (literally) haha So I believe this is my chance to help him out. Maybe he won’t have so many demons once he can get things under control. πŸ˜•
