Someone’s reputation can definitely speak for them. BT’s has a reputation for items exactly as described, excellent packaging, and great customer service. All of those things can sometimes drive a buyer to bid more, for the added security of knowing they will get a great piece in tact. That extra service is often worth the extra money.

Also… eBay is random! If anyone knew how to predict how things would sell on eBay, they’d be rich by now. 😉

If you look here, you can see how the price has fluctuated on that piece since October 2006. Oldest sales are at the bottom! Starting in late November/Early December 2007 actual sales dates are listed with pieces, before then a 10/01/2006 date could mean anywhere between 10/01/2006 and 12/31/2006. Same thing applies to 01/01/2007, 04/01/2007 and 7/01/2007.

It’s partially the reputation and partially the buyer. Blooming Iris won that coiled male, and they’ve been buying dozens of Windstones for a while now, sometime for more than the piece’s usual price. Somebody with money discovered Windstone…

Actually she is a collector. She didn’t realize that some of her colors had been retired and she’s currently finishing them off. I traded emails with her because I was looking for a piece she had bought and she had a few items up for sale. Very nice person.
