I hear you Skeeter about the self control–still an issue with me. That’s why about once a week I allow myself to eat something forbidden. Can’t just cut out the sweets and grease completely. Maybe some day I will–but for now contolling how much of it I eat helps.

You sound like you’re getting lots of activity with those young ones! Maybe try to not eat these things during the weekdays and on weekends, have some fries and cookies! I find that every little bit helps. Right now it’s easy for me to find time to walk because I’m taking classes. There will be a time when I’ll be working [thinking positive here] and try to fit some exercise time in. It will be a challenge.

And for TDM, having the neuropathy in your feet sucks–there are valid reasons why some people can’t exercise. What Dragon87 suggested–some sitting exercises? Some yoga or Tai Chi–I’m sure they have something for you to do that won’t hurt you so bad.

I found my biggest problem was getting my head into agreeing to do this. It’s hard when you love all the things that are so bad for you. I’m just hoping that while I still have the chance, to establish a routine that I can continue throughout my life. Then I was getting depressed–that’s hard too. So my biggest obstacle was making myself care about things again.

Well I checked last night, and apparently I’m down to 71kg (or about 157lbs). That’s almost my high school weight! 🙂 I don’t know if I trust it, but my jeans are all really loose now, and I didn’t gain that much in size with my gain in weight, so it makes sense that I wouldn’t lose that much size with a drop in weight.

Even Colin’s lost weight! Down 13lbs in the last 4 months, and I’m proud of him. 🙂

Weighed in at the doctors office today. Down another pound. 😀

I am thinking about going to the doctor to have my thyroid checked, and to get her advice on a diet/exercise plan because with the way i eat, I should be losinf weight, but i am not! it is so frustrating. I stay away from alcohol, soda, fast food, and I like to usually only eat meats and veggies. I don’t eat noodles/rice too often, but my only downfall is that I eat a sweet about three times a week. Usually a cookie or ice cream, but I never bring the stuff in the house usually. I will drink water and tea, and I would exercise about three times a week 9I have been lazy the last three weeks) 🙁 I am frustrated.

Went to the doctors office for blood work today, so I weighed in while I was there. Down 2 more pounds! 😀 Things are going slow with the Pilates machine, but I’m doing it. It’s harder on the knees than I expected. I hope this gets better.

Congrats, Copper! Hope the bloodwork also is improved.

I’ve been seesawing the last two weeks, but the center point is lower than it used to be, so I’m counting that as good. I’m trying to convince myself to eat fruit instead of cookies for snack, but I practically sprained my hand trying to open a jar of peaches last time. 🙁 One of these days I’ll learn to just skip the ‘try to open jar’ and go straight to the ‘hold under hot water and THEN open jar’!

I got to weigh in at the doctors office today. I’m now down 138 pounds! 😀 I also got to go shopping recently and got some new jeans, 4 sizes smaller than I had been wearing! No wonder they felt like they were about to fall off. 😀 Got some new shirts too. I got rid of 2 large garbage bags of clothes. Gave them to the WAIF Thrift store. Found other clothes that I haven’t worn in years, that I can wear now. One is a nice coat that I bought on my honeymoon 8 years ago, and never really wore much. It fits better now than when I bought it. 😀 Perfect timing too. Our high today was 28 degrees. 😮

How’s everyone else doing? Ready for Thanksgiving?

            #827836

Not so much Thanksgiving as my engagement photos on the 4th! I actually feel confident enough with my body to have a pro photographer take pictures of it – and I’m super excited. Gonna be full of planes, snow, and most likely a snowball fight. :3

I have no idea what I weigh now, but I’m still the same pant size. Only they fit better… hm… so I’ve probably gone down a size, and I was just buying too small before? 😆

AND… WHOOHOO on your being 4 sizes smaller and down 138lbs! That’s sweet! I’m rooting for you! *claps*

Last time I weighed myself, I was down by 11 pounds! I got sick and haven’t been walking but I plan to resume next week. Next Spring, I signed up for a weight training class to help tone. I notice that I’m not overeating as much and feel I’m keeping the weight off. Getting into some clothes that are a size smaller.

Over the winter break, I thought I had gained back most of what I lost. Turns out I only gained 2 pounds! I had just lost those 2 pounds before winter break. Now I’m back walking the track and taking weight training 2 days a week. I hope to lose about 5 pounds this semester!

Lots and lots of very painful walking and portion control… Lots of fresh veggies, some fresh fruits, a FEW carbs, nonfat dairy and coming to the realization that I eat out of boredom. It’s that walking that’s hardest, ‘specially when we’ve been sub zero the last few months. On the days it’s too cold to be outside I do 20 – 30 minutes walking up and down the stair case at home 😀 Looks kinda silly but does seem to help!

                      twindragonsmum 😀
