It is always sad when we lose friends but it sounds to me like it is their loss because I think you are a great lady and have been thru some bad times and come out lika a champion. I am glad other things are going better for you now.

Good riddance, I say, though I hope you are not too troubled by the loss.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Ski.
Purpledoggy, don’t let other people mess up your life. You’re doing fine, your family is the most important thing you have and you’re treating it appropriately, and if you ever need real friends, you know to come here.

It’s their loss, really. Friends come and go, and so I hope you will find more friends! It’ll be ok!

Well, this turned out about as well as it could, really. They were the ones to decide that you didn’t have to be in the wedding: that was pretty much the conclusion you’d already reached, so it hopefully hurt less and it also saved you a rather awkward statement to them. You don’t have a dress that you wouldn’t wear. And if they now have a no-kids rule, that gives you the perfect out to not attend. It’s still an uncomfortable situation 🙁 , but some of the major stressors have been defused. I’m glad of that.

Hmm, given the price of dresses these days, you could choose a rather nice Windstone with that money. Buy one you’ve been eyeballing. 🙂
